Amazing food!!! The waffles are incredible we love this place so much but it’s a shame I can’t give it 5 star as it deserves it for the food but 2 weeks in a row our order was so late arriving!

The first week it took 2 hours to be delivered, the wait time said 1 hour and 5 minute but we had to ring after waiting 1 hour and 30 minutes to ask where our order was, they said it was on its way but still had wait another 30 minutes for it to arrive. When it did arrive our ice cream orders were wrong but they had closed so couldn’t do anything about it!

After seeing a recent bad review I had to hop on here and say how amazing this place is. Last summer my husband and I chose to serve ice cream as dessert for guests at our wedding. We met with Jack to try different flavours and discuss our ideas and with his help we were able to come up with 4 bespoke ice cream flavours. It was a big hit on the day and we received many compliments from our guests. We would recommend the local scoop to everyone visiting Dawlish, and if you’re planning a wedding and looking for something slightly different to treat your guests- look no further! Every time I come down to Dawlish I visit the Local Scoop, everything is made on site and the flavours are always spectacular. The only challenge is deciding on what to go for! Last month the twister flavour made me think it couldn’t get any better, but today both the Rhubarb and Custard flavour and the Cinnamon Swirl proved me wrong!
