The Beach Bar — Restaurant in Teignbridge

Have eaten here a few times but today my experience was not good. I chose the Broccoli Cheese Bake - it was a case of hunt the Broccoli. The service was friendly and efficient until they decided to pull down the shade over the ice cream part of the premises. I was sat under the edge of it and was absolutely drenched as the collected rainfall landed on me. I had to ask a waitress for a towel and when she came out she proceeded to wipe the table down before giving me the towel I had to ask for again. Although she did apologise, no one checked if I was alright. Good customer service would have been to offer a complimentary coffee at least, but nothing I was left feeling very undervalued...

Well very discussed with this place. Went to have breakfast but one of us was a vegetarian. Food was brought out and the veggie meal tasted like meat. We asked the staff and was told the chef can't stand veggies so he cooks everything in the same pans. We wasn't happy and the member of staff says if ya don't like cross contamination go elsewhere. This is unacceptable behaviour for somewhere that serves food and especially somewhere that offers vegetarian meals knowing the chef does not give a damn and cooks it with meat. Also very bad management allowing him to do so and stay employed. I will be taking this further and be seeking legal advice and reporting to the appropriate...

A very poor experience, it difficult to know where to begin. "Service " was a barely tolerated exchange of a rude woman, who continued a much needed conversation to another member of staff, while we tried to order, about what she did the previous evening..... Food was as expected, tesco/ asda budget range heated in a microwave. Given the terrible food and utter distain in having to deal with customers, this is the place for anyone wishing to experience social and culinary torture.
