ASK Italian - Westwood Cross — Restaurant in Thanet

Rude and condescending Management on a power trip! Sat, 26th Sep at 1945: Walking in and not being approached, acknowledged or greeted by anyone for 5minutes while pacing around in the lobby/ entrance way, finally a member of the team in in non uniform aggressively stormed up with a tone matching saying put on a face mask (no problem with this, but no signage no one wearing them besides staff) after being told it was a 5 minute wait within that time a couple came in with a reservation (not being in anyone’s way) the Lady (management) yet again condescendingly said ‘move back like I said’ this is not how I or anyone should get spoken too, letting her know that she should Not be speaking to anyone in this manner she became very aggressive and had a power trip repeatedly saying ‘you want a table here’ trying to look past this by letter her know of course we did, but she should not be speaking to myself in this way while smirking off and saying ‘that will be another 5 minutes for you’ while seating a walk in who arrived after. Would never want myself or anyone to be spoken to in...

First time visiting this restaurant pleasantly surprised lots of free parking , lovely friendly waitress and food was delivered hot & freshly made to the table..Nice clean restaurant for a saturday afternoon however music was too loud so everyone was speaking really loudly, making it noisy and not so relaxing to chat. I would return here for the zucchini fries alone they were amazing, we also enjoyed the flat folded garlic bread with cheese starter, the salami pizza, the chicken salad and the biscoff cheesecake was delicious, the cherry panecotta was disappointing 3 cherries and a cup of panecotta did not go down well.. Hopefully next time we'll be able to chat not shout over the music and the dessert menu has been revamped otherwise we cant complain another...

We have just finished our lovely meal at ASK. We don’t often get the chance to come out for dinner but if we do our go to is ASK. Every single time we come the food and service is faultless. Our starters were absolutely perfect. Our mains perfect as well, the Prosecco was ice cold and the service was outstanding. We were served by chiara, she was so friendly and attentive. We always choose to come to ASK because It is a guaranteed great experience. Every one works so hard and we felt a 3 course meal it with 2 alcoholic drinks for £43 was an absolute bargain. (Eat out to help out) but we honestly would have to happy to pay the usual amount for such a fabulous meal. Thank you for looking...
