Best ice cream (and coffee) in Thanet. (Sorry Morreli's). Really proper Italian coffee and amazing cakes and pastries. This is a proper family run, handed down through generations, Italian business. Outdoor seating and actually the best outside views of anywhere on the prom. (Albion's balcony seating notwithstanding). Best people watching too :-) Chiappini's is unusual in keeping old fashioned opening hours too, so go in the daytime and don't expect them to be open in the long summer evenings. Fantastic ice cream - we did try elsewhere while we were on a visit to the town but decided to come here instead. Warm and welcoming staff and excellent ice cream sundaes which we thoroughly enjoyed with a cup of tea each. Popped into there today overpriced Strawberry pastry that was far from fresh, tasteless and and what can only be described as cheap imitation cream. We both left our coffees as there was an aftertaste like stale water . Coffee machines need cleaning out on a regular basis. This is the second bad experience in a row, I will not be going back much better shops along the parade.
