As the largest Wetherspoons in the UK, the Royal Victoria Pavilion in Ramsgate lives up to its impressive reputation in terms of scale and location. Perched right by the seafront, it offers stunning views and an unbeatable outdoor terrace, perfect for summer visits. While it’s still very much a “Spoons” at heart, this one feels a cut above. The staff were friendly and efficient, ensuring fast service even when the place was buzzing. The food? Classic Wetherspoons—reliable, decent, and exactly what you expect. It might not be worth traveling miles solely for this venue, but if you’re already in Ramsgate, it’s absolutely worth a visit. With its iconic setting and the usual affordable offerings, it’s a standout among the chain’s pubs. A solid option for a laid-back day or evening by the sea.

Popped into the Wetherspoons in Ramsgate around 7.30pm for a nice large glass of Villa Maria. Once you navigate around all the bikers outside the place is huge. It is a nice building and lots of seating area. It wasn't clear where the smoking areas were because I wanted to avoid them. However, I was sat right in the middle of it, on the top veranda. The glass balcony could do with cleaning and the tables were a bit sticky. However, staff were coming around cleaning them. The chairs are metal and when pulled out make an awful noise. You could hear the waves but it was dark so couldn't see much. The bar staff was pleasant. The wine was great however, this is one of those Wetherspoons that the prices are a little higher than normal.

Most staff friendly, ages to get served at the bar, seagulls are a real pain if eating outside. Great seafront views. Have been back in several times early 2020 but not at peak times so it didn't take as long to get served, the food was good, the portions were good and always nicely presented. The alcohol is typical Wetherspoons prices, nice atmosphere and will definitely be going back but will choose our times. Been back in since lockdown has been eased, hand sanitiser on entry with an assistant explaining the procedure. Tables have been moved to avoid close contact. Been back once again, great service though dofficult for the staff. Food still good, different staff for cleaning, ordering food, ordering drinks, in fact the service is quicker than before lockdown. App friendly as well. Smaller printed menu and thrown after use. Been in yet again 08/2021 and had a burger, the onion rings were soft, no batter and full of oil, the burger was good but even a waiter couldn't open the sachets of sauce and had to get sissors, The waiter called Alfie was brilliant with a wicked sense of humour which made the meal that much better.

The biggest Wetherspoons in the United Kingdom! The view from the terrace is absolutely amazing and we were super happy to find a table outside. There’s plenty of seating and all with tables, so you can order food and drinks. Staff work hard and are friendly, lots of young staff with a great work attitude too. Tables could do with a regular clean as ours was covered in ketchup from the previous users and the waitress didn’t care to clean it but she was very busy. We have had better Wetherspoons food but it is hard to complain given the price and speed of service. Come for the views and drinks, maybe skip the food.

Even though I visited Ramsgate to experience the wartime tunnels, I think a visit to the Wetherspoon was the highlight of my trip. The place is amazing. Right next to the harbour with stunning views of the beach and the town. The place is massive. The server told me it can accommodate 1500 persons, and I believe her. I have never seen anything like it. Apparently, it used to be a casino that got converted into a pub. The place is super cheap. I couldn't believe the prices. Eating and drinking at these prices at this location should be a crime. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would.

A fantastic venue and pub that is now getting a little tired. Unfortunately the worse thing is the staff. Gulls fighting over food on the tables outside while staff walk past almost empty plates on empty tables without clearing them. Prefer to stand around chatting rather than serve the person patiently standing at the bar infron of them. But worse than that, downright clueless lies. Have a look at the photo of the two different pints, I was told she stood and watched them come from the same pump and was assured they were the same beer!
