The New Belgium Bar — Restaurant in Thanet

This is legit BBQ. I would have to say the best I've had in the UK since moving here in 2016. The right amount of smoke and the meat still clung to the bone but came off easy. The best ribs are those that do this, if they fall off the bone they aren't done right. They were the perfect ration of juice and tender, with each mouthfull melting against your tastebads.

The seasoned fries are a whole other level - These are not ordinary fries. The are seasoned with bacon butter with just the tinyest hint of sugar. While the ribs we outstanding they paled in comparison to the fries.

This place is NOT at all like the old Belgian Bar. We came here last year to try it out as was a big fan of when Andy has the bar. The place has completely lost the vibe it used to have and there’s no soul in the place anymore. The new owner is loud and over bearing, doesn’t let you enjoy yourself in peace without promoting herself, her food and interrupts you constantly to make the conversation about her. We didn’t want to eat but all she kept doing was going on about how amazing she is at cooking. Sure she’s on drugs or something?!

AMAZING!! The food was absolutely delicious. I ordered the brisket meal and a beef quarter pounder with chips. Both meals were very tasty, the brisket was so tender and cooked to perfection and the burger was excellent, full of flavour and really good quality and quantity. We also had a side order of pulled pork, will definitely be having more of that it's got to be the best I've ever had, also had the slaw and cowboy beans.

Every dish was so good we can't wait to come back and try the other dishes on the menu.
