The Glass Jar — Restaurant in Thanet

The Glass Jar is amazing. It sits right on the main sands, and has the most amazing sunset view. The bar is lovely. There are DJs on Friday and Saturday nights, and everyone has a dance under the huge disco ball ! The drinks are well priced £10 a cocktail. They have all the classic cocktails, with plenty of signatures. My favourite one is the cherry storm. It’s like a dark and stormy but cherry based. One of my friends was pregnant, and they had so many non-alcoholic choices too!! The bartenders are super attentive and will make anything based from the flavours you like. Amazing quirky little cocktail bar! Had seen another review that said it was dog friendly, so whilst in the area we took our post beach, sandy and smelly Labrador along with us. Even with it being Easter weekend and busy, the staff were so welcoming and friendly. Dog friendly is an understatement, our smelly boy was provided with dog treats, a water bowl and so much fuss and attention from the staff. Also the cocktails were another level, the caramel espresso martini is incomparable and an array of gin to please all. We will definitely be returning, just a shame we live 2 hours away. Well what can I say about this bar... It's the perfect place on Marine Drive to catch the Sunset, with a quality Cocktail or two or three, you get my drift. :-). The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and if you like Gin, there are an arrray of flavours to choose from. I must add, that the Music they play is on point, and the weekend DJ's know how to cater for the ever diverse crowd.
