Read moreWent last week for the first time for a takeout. Will start by saying the chicken Byriani is one of the best i have tried from outside, but it would be good if they did a boneless variant as i would not personally feel comfortable giving it to small kids due to the sharp bones that come off when eating. Other dishes were very good as well especially the Chicken karahi, Garlic/Chilli Naan, Chai, Pani Puri. Need to try some more of the mains, including some lamb dishes next time around.
Some Of the things i did not like though is thats its really expensive compared to other indian places, your paying nearly £6 for 3 normal sized samosas that you can get from any indian deli, there should have been 4 for that price at the very least as its very insufficent for that price. Secondly the Masala Buffalo wings were not good at all, they came drowned in so much sauce that it filled half the container up to the point i first thought they accidentally gave me another curry instead of wings on first glance. Just ruined the texture completely as they were just sitting in that hugely unessecary amount of sauce on route home and also i feel the wings were rubbery as well, which was a waste of £9. Cooking wings like this is not how it should be done & its a shame as the flavour was actually decent.
It was around £75 paid for around 6 items (only two mains and other snack items), its very, very costly but most of the things i was very impressed with apart from the two things i found very disappointing. Last thing to add is despite the menu saying fresh juices, i was informed they come from a carton so how or why they are charging £4.95 for that is very confusing indeed. In conclusion i will keep my score at a 5 star rating as the staff are also excellent, polite and very helpful & generally i was happy but there are those few things mentioned that need some...
Read moreI rarely write reviews. If I'm giving it, it means it has something special about it (I'm not famous, sorry). First and foremost, the staff is extremely helpful and friendly. I work near the restaurant and occasionally order takeout during my shift break. If my food is delayed, they always deliver it to me. Despite the fact that it is extremely busy. They are such lovely people. I ordered takeout for the next day, the day before (I was throwing a party for my coming birthday this week). They even remmember my name.It felt good(Actually,I was blushing inside(Obv it is a girl who said it)). In terms of food, we brought some Chili Paneer, Mushroom and Baby Corn, and Achari Paneer (For my vegetarian friends). We ordered Butter Chicken with two Rotis and one Chicken and Lamb Biriyani. My friend said "It's one of the best Chicken Biriyanis she's ever had (she only eats chicken.. don't ask me why?)" . My vegetarian friends, loved the vegetables. I know I made the right choice (Because I already had a few dishes from here). They even season my food with a special masala. Masala Bowl, thank you very much. I'm relieved that there is at least one decent Indian restaurant...
