A Proper Little Cafe - Great Find Was in Rickmansworth on a Saturday morning and looking for a proper brunch spot that wasn't a big chain. Stumbled upon Cafe Deli 122 and it was exactly what we were after. First off, it's a small place and was pretty bustling when we arrived, which is always a good sign. We managed to get the last free table. It's not a fancy spot by any means; it has that classic, unpretentious British cafe feel, which was perfect for a relaxed breakfast. The menu isn't huge, but it has all the essentials you'd want. I went for the poached eggs and my friend had scrambled eggs on a toasty bagel. You can tell they use good ingredients. My eggs were perfectly runny and served on some proper thick-cut toast. The coffee was decent too ā a good, strong flat white that actually tasted of coffee, not just hot milk. Service was quick and friendly, no fuss. The lady behind the counter was managing the rush really well and still had a smile for everyone. The best part is the price. For the quality of the food, it's brilliant value. It's easy to see why it's popular with locals. If you're looking for a solid, no-nonsense breakfast or lunch that tastes great and doesn't cost a fortune, this is the place. Will definitely be back next time I'm...
