Visited on monday with our daughter who has a dairy allergy, The manager greeted us at the door very pleasant gave us our menus and childrens menu, we were asked to order drinks no lemonade, nothing on draft, disappointed how ever I understand theirs a supply and demand issue at the moment so it wasn't a big issue, We told the waitress our daughter had a dairy allergy, cows milk to be specific and asked for a allergy matrix, waitress who was lovely presented us with a tablet we were presented with the allergies for mac and cheese, nothing else for other dish's,it doesn't take a genius to work out that got milk in it, and my 11 month old not really into pat thai and I think that contained dairy any way, after a while I asked the waitress to go find out from the chef if my little girl could have the burger with no bun or the fish goujons, I expected the fish to have a milk based batter but the answer I got regarding the burger is what really shocked me, my little girl couldn't have anything to eat, the burger party had dairy in it,At this point we were confused asked the waitress to ask chef what milk product could possibly be in a childs burger partty??? Bless her she finally came back with a full allergens matrix and informed us nothing dairy free on menu and the chef said HORSERADISH was in childrens burger, I mean come on that's ridiculous!!! What child likes HORSERADISH?? Not many I know, we paid for our drinks we didnt particularly want and left we spoke to manager on way out and told her we were appalled, asked if this was company spec and normal and were informed, yes that the spec for childrens burger does state the burgers contain horseradish as they dont make different burger for children they simply break a adult burger in half, this is just lazy and your menu development team obviously dont have children never mind one who has a allergy, you need to up your game and your allergies training. 7% of children in uk are born with cows milk protein allergy it's not a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWent for a meal last night with my daughter. It was relatively quiet and wasnāt sure if they were closing as we had to wait several minutes for someone to come and sit us down. My daughter had chicken katsu curry and I had the king prawn chorizo chilli linguine. It took quite a while for the food to come compared to what I was used to at other restaurants. When it did, my dish was lukewarm but had a pocket where it was burning hot. So Iām thinking my dish was actually just microwaved! Not enjoyable but we were wanting to get home asap. And Iām not sure if the dish is supposed to taste sugary sweet either! I was hoping the black pepper would mask some of the sweetness but it didnāt. I did it all though as we were hungry. The chicken katsu also wasnāt very good at all either. The chicken that was cooked in breadcrumbs were burnt, hard and very dry making it very hard to cut. The rice was effectively a clump of stodge, very overdone and shaped like a star on the plate with the chicken on top and the curry around the side. My daughter had to cut her rice to get some on her fork!! I shouldāve complained but didnāt as my daughter wanted to go. I wonāt be back but felt management should every now and then check the food quality as it seemed non existent!
19/10/22 Reply to Grace: No I did not receive a check-back during my meal. We visited around 6.15pm. To be honest, it was quiet and you couldāve investigated yourself and checked through your orders instead of asking me. I highly doubt anyone wouldāve had the same dishes during that time. Sorry for the late reply, Iāve actually just recovered from a bout of food poisoning! I started feeling unwell the same night! Do I blame your food especially since it was seafood?? I also see you didnāt disagree with my description of the...
Read moreStaff behind bar really nice. Felt sorry for waitress who was getting the hassle for the chef's incompetency. We could see the kitchen from where we were sat and saw our starters and mains under the hot lights keeping warm. Two chefs were clearly having a difference of opinion. One took his apron off and walked out. Starters and mains were coming out together but we'd been asked if we wanted them separately. The food was so burned and dry and we'd paid £9.95 and £9.50 for king prawns and chicken skewers. King prawns were rubbery and chicken was burned. Sour dough bread was also dry and burned. The kind waitress said she'd organise fresh mains to be made. Then, I saw the only chef left put his coat on and leave. As it was now some 40 mins since we'd ordered i asked how long the food would be? I was told they were making fresh. I asked how when the chef was not on duty? I was told he'd gone for his break!!!! At this point I asked to cancel the order and get a refund. We were very disappointed as it was actually my husband's birthday!! Hi Grace. Thank you for the courtesy of your reply. We arrived about 7.30pm on Thursday 18th September. I hope this helps. Many...
