Visited Nando's in chillfactore Manchester. After a long skiing lesson with my sons, we were all ready for food. There was no queue but I was made to wait for 5 mins till I had to get the attention of a waitress to serve me. The waitress taking my order gave no eye contact, no greeting and whilst I quickly gave my order she simply grunted at me and tutted as I paused for a millisecond. She didn't even prompt me to pay. I waited for direction from payment machine. There had literally been no verbal communication till this point. I returned to our table and realised she had given me no glasses for my refill order. I went immediately back and asked her for glasses to which she responded you want water ? In a very aggressive tone. I said no, I need them for the refills you have just taken the order for. She simply handed over the glasses with again no verbal communication. This was the worst customer experience I had ever had. She seemed to be insulted by my very presence. I got the attention of the manager explained how I felt and that I didn't feel comfortable and have decided to cancel my order and leave. To be fair to the manager she was quite sympathetic and refunded me. I regularly attend the chillfactore however I feel uncomfortable to enter that restaurant. Worst service I have...
Read moreWe ordered our food at 7:15 . We could see the food coming out from our table and 20 mins later we saw what we thought was our food on the pass. This food then stayed there for 10 mins. Obviously the wings we ordered to share were not ready so they were waiting to bring it out together. So I went up and asked if we could just have the rest of the food now if possible. Straight away the guy said that this food was for another table. The food remained there for a few mins more- with the staff taking it off the pass, then putting it back on, like they weren’t sure what to do with it. Then someone came over, apologised and said we were waiting for our wings to be cooked and the food that we saw on the pass was still there because that table had “suddenly left” We said that’s fine but can we please have the rest now. The food on the pass was then taken away (obviously ours) then our food came ten mins later. Followed by the wings 10 mins after that. The whole thing was just awkward- and obviously we didn’t get a “how’s your food” because they were too embarrassed to come over seeing as they had just insulted out intelligence twice! We don’t mind waiting- just not being lied to...
Read moreHorrendous. Fully empty restaurant to be sat right next to the table were 4 staff members were told to bring out the frozen yogurt machine, which was literally on top of our table. Then told to sort it out out for 25 mins, we now know the ins and outs of the workings of your equipment. Didn't have a conversation with my other half through our meal because we were too distracted and frankly didn't really want strangers hearing every word...
Thennn, dessert was in the freezer so asked for a refund and the manager.
Tried to say nicely that the guys working on the machine 1) disrupted our meal completely and 2) not wearing masks and definitely not socially distanced was her responsibility
To be greeted with a blank look and then when asked for a receipt refund to be LAUGHED AT told "I'll show you the tablet"... I walked out. (The staff will know who I am) because if I didn't I was really ready to flip.
My other half took over and was also told he'd recieved an e voucher, which we've not recieved or the refund.
Absolutely atrocious attitude, not just from a restaurant manager, but just from a human...
