Noria Restaurant — Restaurant in Trafford

This restaurant was very nice but the service was extremely poor. We booked a table for two, on arrival we waited a good few minutes to be shown to a table where we sat waiting for 15 minutes not offered a menu or drinks it was only after a waiter heared my partner say something about a menu that they actually brought one and we had to ask for a bottle of wine which came quickly asking are we ready to order when we had only just received the menu.which is such a let down as the food was delicious We had cheese garlic bread then lamb sizzler and my partner had lamb shish which was really nice however they arrived with a chicken sizzler not Lamb but quickly rectified this. The wine was really nice & Good value. However I am afraid to say the service was really extremely poor nobody once asked if we were ok with everything and if we required anything else and not even offered a desert or asked if we required more drinks this has put us off returning.

We eat out regularly in Altrincham & have never had such bad service which spoiled the evening. When we paid the bill we were not even asked if everything was OK not even a thank you for your custom. Very disappointed as the food was extremely good.

I have never had to give a negative review in Altrincham so sad it had to be here after a recommendation from a good friend.

I would like to re review my last report of Noria. We returned here on 13th Feb for my birthday as the food was so good I felt I had to give the benefit of doubt and try again, and I must say service was excellent, food was delicious and the wine was really good. I would definitely recommend Noria and will be there again soon. Excellent restaurant keep up 5...

Not the greatest experience! To begin we had starters which were good. But it slowly went down hill after that. Mains were served and we had to ask for more cutlery after being left with mains and nothing to eat with, there was a mistake with my main (server thought I said salmon when I said sirloin steak) so I had to watch everyone else eat. Then when the steak came out after 30 minutes more of waiting, it was medium well instead of medium rare. It tasted pretty bland. No one ever came back to the table to check on us.

We had to ask for the bill 3 times before getting it ( we were waiting for at least 20 minutes before receiving a bill ) and then when we got the bill, they had placed the salmon that I didn’t order on there as well as the steak! There seemed to be some serious miscommunication between the staff. We tried to explain the situation to who I assume was the manager but he was adamant we were not correct. Eventually after explaining it for 3 or 4 times, it registered with him what had gone on.

The salmon (that was not ordered or eaten) was taken off the bill, the steak (which was ordered but came 30 minutes after everyone else had eaten) was also taken off the bill. I’m thankful for that but the experience was a very bad one for myself and my friends. Some advice, if your customer/guest mentions something went wrong, maybe listen to them rather than get defensive and lay the blame on them. Sorry to leave this poor review but I was seriously not happy...

A delightful surprise! We wandered into this restaurant on a glorious, sunny Sunday afternoon at about 5 pm. The place was quiet but we liked the look of the menu and decided to stay. I’m so glad we did. We didn’t have starters but our main courses were all delicious,– I had the vegetarian moussaka which was full of flavour, had distinct layers and had a lovely cheesy topping - it came with rice. The side salad that I shared with my friend was substantial, colourful, herby and really tasty- better than your average mixed salad. We decided to have Turkish delight and Syrian sweets for our pudding, both of which were accompanied by a deliciously creamy honeycomb ice cream. We’ll be back. The ambience, decor and service were all just right . Thank you. *The only exception to this lovely experience was the air freshener which every so often gave out a short blast of ‘perfume’- we really don’t think you need that in...
