Disappointing attitude of the waiter. He was rude from the start. There is a way of saying things. First he mentioned very rudly how ALL tables are reserved and then he let us sit on a combined table till a specific time and instead of asking politely to move somewhere else or pay the bill he only gave one option to pay the bill and underlying tone been to leave the cafe. I can easily recognise passive racism when there is one. There is way of conveying things and his was rude and discriminative from the start. I was meeting friends after my first cycle of chemo and he ruined it for me with his rudnes and inability to apologise to a customer. Disappointed !

Thank you for your reply. You can watch cctv and make assumptions about when we finished food and whether we wanted to order more and sit there for some more time or not, but the way you have overreacted to this shows the lack of customer care your cafe has. Let me clarify this to you, if not already evident from my initial review, that it wasn't about the table’s availability, but about the rude attitude and lack of polite communication from your staff about it. The way he conveyed that information was rude from get go. If you want to go dialogue by dialogue then let me tell you that when your waiter first rudely informed that there is time limitation on two tables , ( I hope you had also watched this on cctv) I said let me call my friends to see if they had already booked table here to which your waiter very rudely replied that, that is not the case as he knows the name on the reservations ( so again he assumed who my friends might be or not be which is rude and discriminating)
You keep mentioning about your staff member saying sorry, but he did not apologise at any point during any conversation. I am a professional as well and if there is a unsatisfactory service, I apologise even if I am not at fault, but your staff did not at any point. Thanks for bringing it up that after paying the bill, I went to give him feedback. I genuinely gave him one and there was opportunity to be polite and apologise, to avoid a 2 star review, but he kept on being unkind.
How can you assume we finished the food at 12 and then did not want to order anything else? There were bar stools right in front (not reserved ) and another small table just gotten free and cleaned ( no reserve ) sign, to which he could have offered us to move to if we wish to order more or sit more there but he straight away said,’ guys we need this table back, would you like the bill now’? ( no apologetic words no politeness at all) again rudely conveyed. Is that what you ask all your customers to do to leave the place? . In addition, saying ,’why would they sit with 3 random people’ is aggressively conveyed.
Also, if you really had taken this matter seriously, instead of threatening me , you could have contacted me and listened to both sides and may be this would have shown some learning and improvement for both or all of us rather than escalating the matter. It shows your approach to customer care or is that how you respond to reviews you don’t like? And as you can clearly see from my extensive google reviews that I do not go around giving negative reviews unless there is a reason to. Your staff member might be hurt ,but experiencing this rude attitude was no fun for me either and has affected my mental health as well. Let me summarise, yes I have experienced and I am mature enough to recognize passive racism when there is one. I have shared what I experienced and you instead of approaching this to de-escalate the situation have worked the opposite way which is disappointing. I will stand up for any such negative experience rather than being silenced. I hope this has clarified things for you , and if you still want to go ahead with authorities of course it is your choice.
