Visiting the Red Café at Old Trafford was an experience that exceeded my expectations in every way. Nestled within the iconic home of Manchester United, this café is not just a place to grab a bite; it is a celebration of the club's rich history and heritage. The ambiance, the food, and the service all combine to create a memorable dining experience that I would highly recommend, especially as a perfect conclusion to a Manchester United stadium tour.
Upon entering the Red Café, I was immediately struck by the warm and inviting atmosphere. The decor is tastefully done, with an abundance of Manchester United memorabilia adorning the walls. One of the highlights for me was the stunning art pieces, particularly the one featuring Sir Bobby Charlton. These touches not only enhance the dining experience but also serve as a tribute to the legends of the club, making any fan feel right at home.
For my meal, I opted for the classic British favorite: fish and chips. The fish was cooked to perfection—crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with a light, flavorful batter that complemented the delicate taste of the fish. The chips were equally impressive, golden and crispy, providing the perfect accompaniment to the fish. The portion size was generous, ensuring that I left the café feeling thoroughly satisfied.
The staff at the Red Café deserve special mention. From the moment I walked in, they were incredibly welcoming and attentive. Their friendly demeanor and willingness to engage in conversation made the experience all the more enjoyable. They were knowledgeable about the menu and more than happy to make recommendations, which is always a plus. It's clear that they take pride in their work and in providing top-notch service to every guest.
The Red Café is more than just a place to eat; it's a venue that embodies the spirit of Manchester United. Whether you're a die-hard fan or just someone looking to enjoy a good meal in a unique setting, this café delivers on all fronts. The combination of excellent food, attentive service, and a rich, immersive atmosphere makes it a standout choice for anyone visiting Old Trafford.
One piece of advice I would give is to pair your visit to the Red Café with a Manchester United stadium tour. The tour offers a fascinating glimpse into the history and behind-the-scenes operations of one of the world’s most famous football clubs. After taking in the sights and sounds of Old Trafford, there’s no better way to wrap up the experience than by relaxing and reflecting on your tour over a delicious meal at the Red Café.
In conclusion, my visit to the Red Café was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The excellent fish and chips, the friendly and attentive staff, and the captivating decor all contributed to a memorable visit. Whether you're there to soak up the Manchester United atmosphere or simply to enjoy a good meal, the Red Café is a fantastic choice. I highly recommend stopping by, especially after a tour of the stadium, to fully appreciate everything this unique café...
Read moreWe made a family visit to the red cafe 04/05/2024 at about 11:15am and an incident occured while returning to our seat. While allowing my daughter to slide across the seat, I was stood in the isle and after the waiter impatiently said 'excuse me' he then proceeded to shove me in the back in order to get past. I challenged the waiter who then denied he'd done anything. This is typical passive aggressive behaviour when somebody acts inappropriately and then pretends it didn't occur once they're confronted. Normal behaviour would be have been to wait 2 seconds for me to move. A complaint was made to the manager and again the waiter appeared from the kitchen and raised his voice across the restaurant in an argumentative and aggressive way. The waiter eventually gave a disgruntled half-apology which was not accepted. I appreciate this waiter was 17/18, untrained and inexperienced but there is no excuse for this behaviour in what is a global, family-orientated football club cafe. The manager who can't control his staff, suggested the staff member would be sent home, but I have no confidence any action would be taken and they'll be keen to minimise the general awareness of this type of incident in their restaurant. This is the worst experience ever had in any type of hospitality, and we won't ever be visiting the...
Read moreThe red cafe is a great place for food with various options all of which are very nice particularly the double burger however the service by ‘Rita’ was abysmal she stood at the table without saying anything until we ordered which to be honest wasn’t a major issue as I had already decided before arriving however I asked for a Fanta and got a half hearted response from Rita who didn’t even bother looking at us instead observed the entirety of the restaurant while stating ‘no Fanta only orange juice’ so I instead ordered coke and moved on with my life only for moments later her to take the table situated beside us order in which they ordered and received Fanta. Now, a note is that the meal was pre booked which may not include a Fanta which is strange but possible but even if this is the case to have this explained would be nice not to half the most ignorant, half a brain human in the building serving us. The only reason the review is as high is down to the actual genuinely nice staff that work alongside this waste of...
