Signature Steakhouse — Restaurant in Trafford

Our initial excitement and euphoria over a perfect steak and super friendly service on the first day was shattered in a disappointing way the next day. We had steak with peppercorn sauce and a bottle of wine to go with it. The staff member who served us was extremely friendly, gave us perfect service, and the fillet steak was cooked to perfection, medium rare, as requested. However, when we wanted to enjoy another delicious steak the following day, this decision was obviously not the best, and we regretted it very much. The steak that arrived was well-done and dry, overcooked in places, and still a tiny bit pink in the middle. When we pointed this out to the waitress (a different woman this time), the first thing she did was ask us to cut our fillet pieces in half. She then decided that the slightly pink color in my piece still looked quite juicy in the middle, while my husband's was a bit more cooked. She then took only my husband's piece back to the kitchen. When she returned, she condescendingly remarked that after measuring the temperature, the doneness was perfectly fine, but that they would redo it as a courtesy. I was left with my dry fillet without comment. By the time my husband finally received his medium-rare piece of meat some time later, I was almost finished eating. His doneness was as requested, but the meat was very stringy and the fries were almost cold. Apparently, the uncomprehending attitude toward us continued in the kitchen, as they sent the same fries, only cold, and apparently the least popular cut of meat they could find as a replacement.

I work in the travel industry and am always on private trips looking for little gems that I could recommend to our customers and friends, especially to support small businesses. This hotel/steakhouse will definitely not be one of them! After our ultimate disappointment, we have also decided not to go to this place again. When we arrived at this steakhouse , after reading the reviews we were disappointed. There seemed to be no organization when we walked in and no one was around. We stood around waiting for someone to tell us where to sit.

We were seated at a table and after 10 minutes the waitress came over and asked if we were ready to order, which we were. Another 20 minutes passed and our drinks still hadn’t been delivered to our table, but then the waitress came over with them, followed straight away with the food, which originally looked amazing.

I had asked for a medium rare steak sirloin, with garlic butter and fries and my wife asked for the tomato tagliatelle with prawns. Now, the (came out medium well ) steak tasted like gone off kebab, the garlic butter was steak juice with a dollop of butter in, and the sauce in the tagliatelle was tasteless. The mojito my wife had was abysmal, and the old fashioned I ordered from the ‘signature cocktails’ part of the menu tasted like someone had wrung out a dishcloth into a glass and served it.

Safe to say I will not be visiting this restaurant again. We are now down £60 and I would say this is probably the worst meal I have ever eaten at...

Was a very poor experience. Booked online and when we arrived waited for over 5 minutes just to be greeted. They then couldn't find the order, showed my confirmation email and still would seat us (may I add that there wasn't a single customer in the establishment). Finally sat us down, gave us 2 menus (for 5 adults and 1 child), no drinks menu, no kids menu. Came back close to 30 seconds later and just stood next to the table, I asked for more menus and was told we had 2! I said I wanted another. We ordered and then watched 4 of them try to put the order through on till... it became commical! Long story short we were sat in the dark (didn't even switch the lights on) with no music until our food came. Food was actually fine despite everything else and then they put TV music channels on. We ate the food and then when we went to the toilets to find 3 x blocked toilets, tissue everywhere and urine on the seats. We visited at 1pm and we were clearly the 1st customers, it was disgusting. When we returned to the table they switched the lights but we paid and left.
