I don't leave bad reviews, I am always as fair as I can be and give businesses every opportunity to make things right, but Bombay Butler wasn't interested once they had my money.
My Bombay Byriani arrived with no lamb inside and 3 tiny pieces of chicken. It was also cold.
I rang them and explained calmly that I didn't receive what I ordered. They said, no worries, come in and we'll sort it out. I explained I was at the airport with no means to get to them. They said, well there is nothing we can do and hung up.
Here's a little tip. You could have delivered me a lamb skewer. I was 2 miles away. It would have cost your business £10 to put right. You already had £17 of my money. If you want a successful business, it is moments like that which make the difference. Karma is real.
You might also want to improve the quality of your mango chutney, it looked the colour of something that came out of Chernobyl. However, I doubt you will do that because the boss is obviously more interested in short term bean-counting than long term profitability.

Now it could have just been a busy night in the restaurant or an off day but I have to say I’m really disappointed. The passanda didn’t have the usual “korma-esque” sweetness of most places, it tasted of cumin rather than pistachio and there wasn’t much else to it. The portion of mushrooms was tiny, but i only ate one spoon of them anyway as they were bland and bitter. The same problem with the sag paneer, really bland and had 2 bits of cheese in it. To give them their dues, the lamb was tender, usually I find lamb quite tough in a curry, but the meat itself was cooked perfectly. The delivery was quick and it’s one of the cheaper curry houses around.

Ordered a take away for one, as the rest of our party wanted Chinese from next door. Got home and we had somebody else’s order. Called the restaurant and they basically said tough, that it was our fault because the names of the two customers sound similar!
We said not to worry (didn’t want the stress) as too far to go back and that we would just stretch our Chinese around a bit further but could we please have a credit note in the restaurant for next time we visited. The answer was NO and the manager (Abdul) was very rude. He just didn’t care at all that we had somebody with no dinner, that they had made the mistake of giving us the wrong order, or that we had paid more for the incorrect order!
