Disappointing experience for a loyal customer
I enjoy Caffè Nero and have been a regular, but this branch at Stansted comes with a serious warning: The one-hour parking limit is simply unreasonable for a café. People come here for breakfast, coffee, or to do some work — an hour barely covers sitting down and enjoying two drinks (sometimes it's 15 mins before you even sit down). Other customers have already highlighted this problem in their reviews. There is no clear signage outside or inside the Caffè Nero store telling customers about this restriction. If you park directly by the café and walk straight in, you would not see a sign explaining the time limit (see attached photo - no sign to be seen). Despite showing receipts for breakfast and two coffees, I was still issued a parking fine. When I contacted Caffè Nero customer service, they refused to help — even though I was a genuine paying customer.
This set-up feels less about welcoming customers and more about catching them out. Very disappointing from a brand I...
Read moreI’ll start, I was coming back from out the country and had a dud phone (battery was gone) I only had a cheap one I had bought. Naomi helped me by charging my phone and providing atmosphere to the entire shop and made me feel welcome in an unknown place (I haven’t flown through Stansted at all) I then was able to communicate with my family and get bus tickets for my journey back home. I recently heard from an employee that she no longer works there and it surprised me as the conversations we had were casual and she was still able to perform at a good level. I’m not sure if exactly why but I can say from experience; it did change me in a noticeable way. Thank you for the advice and please be kind to all. Goodbye. I might also add, the joke you made about Naomi being a common name made me smile recently as it’s the only way I couldn’t forget :) if there were more people like you the world would feel like home...
Read moreI'll start off by saying I have always preferred Caffe Nero to Starbuck and Costa so I was very excited to see a new one opening in the area. I visited this particular café for the first time today and it had such a homely atmosphere. It was quiet, clean, warm and there were even a large amount of books stacked on a shelf that gave off a retro, nostalgic vibe despite being a very newly built place. The staff were very friendly, the seating was comfortable and well lit. I am absolutely certain I will be visiting again! I'm so pleased to have a Caffe Nero so close by! And unlike the Stansted Starbucks, you can actually park without being given a huge fine for being a...
