A Disappointing Experience at Comptoir Libanais, London Stansted Airport My recent visit to Comptoir Libanais at London Stansted Airport was marked by significant disappointment. Despite the restaurant's visually appealing interior design, the dining experience left much to be desired, primarily due to the following factors: Lamb Kofta Catastrophe: My anticipation for a delightful lamb kofta dish was met with disappointment. What arrived on my plate were two meager sticks of overcooked, dry meat, each barely 1cm thick. These undersized portions not only lacked the expected succulence but were also unreasonably overpriced. A Salad Stalemate: I decided to accompany my meal with a side salad, which proved to be a major letdown. The salad appeared to have been prepared and neglected for days, resulting in a dry and uninspiring offering. It lacked the freshness and vibrancy one would anticipate. The Spicy Sauce Scam: My attempt to introduce some spice to my meal resulted in further disappointment. When I asked for something spicy, I was offered a hot sauce that turned out to be more sweet than spicy. This addition came at an extra cost of five pounds, making it a regrettable choice. The lack of authenticity in the sauce's flavors further marred the overall experience. A Glimmer of Hope: Amid the culinary letdowns, the french fries and hot garlic bread provided a slight reprieve. They were the only elements of the meal that offered warmth and comfort, somewhat salvaging an otherwise lackluster experience. However, they couldn't overshadow the overall disappointment. In conclusion, while Comptoir Libanais at London Stansted Airport may impress with its interior design, the quality of the food I sampled fell significantly short of expectations. The lamb kofta was a mere shadow of its potential, the salad was lackluster, and the spicy sauce left much to be desired. Despite a slight improvement with the fries and garlic bread, they were unable to redeem the overall dining experience.

Comptoir Libanais offers a delightful dining experience that transports you to the heart of Lebanon with its authentic flavors and charming ambiance. My recent visit to this restaurant left a lasting impression, and I was impressed by the overall quality of the food and service. The ambiance of Comptoir Libanais is warm and inviting, with vibrant colors and tasteful decor that reflects Lebanese culture. The restaurant's lively atmosphere added to the overall dining experience, creating a sense of authenticity and transporting guests to the streets of Beirut. In terms of value for money, Comptoir Libanais offers reasonably priced dishes considering the quality and portion sizes. The portion sizes were generous, ensuring that we left the restaurant feeling satisfied. In conclusion, Comptoir Libanais provides a memorable culinary journey through Lebanon's vibrant cuisine. While the food is undeniably delicious and the ambiance creates an immersive experience, the service could be improved. Despite this, Comptoir Libanais remains a highly recommended restaurant for anyone seeking a taste of authentic Lebanese flavors in a lively and welcoming setting.

Popped in here today (Aug '23) before getting a flight. Despite the fact the airport was really busy you can't hear much of the noise when inside, I think the way these units have been designed help minimise the ambient noise. The inside is nicely decorated and the waiter serving us was very nice and helpful. Kids & wife had a halloumi wrap and I went for the mixed grill. Mixed grill was excellent value at £16 with some decent sized kofta portions and chicken taouk, all seasoned really well. Finished off with the baklava (3 pieces for £5.95 which is a bit overpriced) and the milk pudding which was fantastic. If looking for somewhere to eat in Stansted would definitely recommend. Update August '24: back here again as its becoming the go to place whenever we are in Stansted. Still a good place to go with good food and service. Only slight moan is the have taken the milk pudding off the menu which I was very disappointed about. Has been replaced with a chocolate ganache/ mousse thing (pictured), which was ok but not a patch on the milk pudding.

If you're looking for a delightful dining experience at Stansted Airport, Comptoir Libanais is a fantastic choice. I recently had the pleasure of dining there, and it was a refreshing and vibrant way to start my journey.

From the moment I walked in, the vibrant and colorful decor caught my eye. The ambiance is lively and welcoming, a perfect escape from the typical airport hustle. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure that every guest felt comfortable and well taken care of.

The menu offers a wonderful selection of Middle Eastern dishes, full of fresh ingredients and bold flavors. I tried the Chicken Tagine, which was cooked to perfection with tender chicken, aromatic spices, and a delightful blend of vegetables. The accompanying couscous was light and fluffy, providing a perfect balance to the rich stew. The mezze platter was a great way to sample a variety of dishes, each more delicious than the last. The hummus was creamy and flavorful, the falafel was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and the tabbouleh was refreshing with its mix of fresh herbs and lemon.

One of the highlights of my meal was the dessert. I opted for the Baklava, which was sweet, flaky, and absolutely delicious. It paired wonderfully with a cup of their mint tea, which was both soothing and invigorating.

In addition to the excellent food, the service was prompt and efficient, ensuring that I had plenty of time to enjoy my meal without worrying about my flight. The prices were reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food and the convenience of the location.

Overall, Comptoir Libanais at Stansted Airport provides a delightful dining experience that stands out in the airport setting. Whether you have a long layover or just a short wait before your flight, I highly recommend stopping by to enjoy a taste of the Middle East. It’s a perfect way to add some excitement and flavor to...
