I can sometimes see my order ready on the side but have to wait for it to be called out. More often than not the size of the chips I get is wrong... More often than not they forget to season the chips. Burgers tend to look like somebody sat on it... But hey it's the cheapest burger at Stansted airport. The freestyle pour is great, but often is not refilled in time... And recently they seem to use warm water instead of cold... So overall, it's a burger king with overworked staff which could be improved by changing the approach to food delivery: changing the workflow from order to food, creating more of an assembly line way: with single staff responsible for single points in the line. Read moreI was very disappointed with my visit to Burger King at the airport. The food was not cheap, but since we had a long journey ahead, we wanted to grab something to eat. Unfortunately, my burger was really bad – it was soggy, and the bun was completely off. The bottom part looked like it came from a much smaller burger (maybe 5 cm in diameter), while the top bun was nearly twice the size. It tasted nowhere near what I’m used to from other Burger King locations or similar restaurants.
To make things worse, the drink situation was also poor. Coke Zero wasn’t available in the machines, and the regular Coke tasted flat, with no bubbles at all – as if the machines hadn’t been refilled or maintained properly.
Overall, a very disappointing experience, especially for an airport restaurant where you expect at least decent quality...
