Thoroughly enjoyed my meal here, very good beautiful Char Sui pork(let down very slightly as the pineapple in the sauce didn't taste quite right) Noodles were well seasoned and had a lovely balanced taste, bean sprouts and a nice seasoning of spring onion. Stir fried vegetables, again not overpowered with seasoning. The portions are generous and I came away satisfied. Service was like clockwork, attentive and lighting fast. I've given 5 stars with the caveat that I'd have given maybe 4.8 if I could as the experience was almost perfect let down only by the pineapple.

The whole place needs a proper clean. Everything sticky and the toilets are gross. I see their food hygiene rating is 2/5 so I expect the kitchens aren’t much better. That being said the food was tasty and service good. Went for the Sunday buffet which at £24.50 was very expensive. Children under 1.4m (about 10 years old) tall pay half price. Overall not really with the cost and there are better (and cleaner) alternatives in the area.

Being Oriental i found the food was alright although the reviews i read are that food is excellent. There were quite a few dinners when i was there this May Bank holiday. I still like the free prawn crackers. What i would like to add is that i have been here twice in the last two years to collect donation money from the very generous and friendly boss towards the well being of the Oxfordshire Chinese Community and Advice Centre.

The food here is delicious and perfect. It is a very very little bit expensive, a couple of pounds more per dish, MAX, more expensive. However, although they offer collection/delivery, this is a Restaurant!!!

Over 25 year ago, my mother took me out for a treat (used to happen once every 3 months, at the most!), and we went to Parasol. It was my first time trying Peking Duck! Watching the man shred the crispy duck and prepare the pancakes for us was such a MAGICAL experience for me!! Peking Duck (and probably specifically hoisin sauce) has been my favourite food ever since!

I ordered some of their Peking Duck, a few days ago, and ate it at home, (watching my other half prepare his pancakes was not such a magical experience), and it is honestly just as as delicious as it was all those years ago!

Give it a try, order your favourite dish, and tell the restaurant exactly how you like it made/to taste, and they always do their best (and succeed) to make exactly what you ask for!

If you've eaten something before and you don't know what it was called, ask them and they will help you figure out what it was! (We talked for 15 minutes about it one time, I was being really pedantic so it was my fault it took so long, but I never once felt like the man I spoke to couldn't be...

Update. I have ordered from them a few times since the review below, and have decided that 5 stars is now in order.

The food is excellent, and normally ready in under 15 minutes, and they have not got my order wrong since the review below. A one off. If you do not want certain ingredient I your dish just say so. The staff are very polite, and efficient. I leave the negative review below so that it can be seen that I have reversed my opinion. Highly recommended.

Old review: Last time I ordered from this restaurant they stuffed up my order. That was a few years ago. Tonight I decided to give them another try. Guess what? They stuffed up my order. Don't get me wrong, the food is excellent, but with a take-away do not expect to get what you order, it may be close, but not correct. Beef in black been sauce, get chicken. Prawn and chicken. No chicken.

By the time you get home it's not worth complying about no chicken in your prawn and chicken dish.

Also, they like to 'add' ingredients not mentioned in the menu. Order shrimp fried rice (shrimp & rice, sounds simple, two ingredients, shrimps and rice) and for some reason it has peas in it as well. If I wanted shrimp and pea rice I...

My partner ordered a take away from Parasol tonight by accident! as our favourite China Court was too busy and she didn’t think it would make much difference. She was mistaken.

She ordered standard dishes sweet and sour chicken balls, egg fried rice, chi yin chips and ribs. It turned up after an hour Luke warm, the portion sizes were a joke as were the dishes themselves.

The chicken balls resembled marbles at best well the ones I could find and the sauce was grim, they threw a hand full of chips in a bag, a portion or rice that even Oliver would complain about and ribs that I can only describe as stolen from the body of a mummy from ancient Egypt, as they were drier than the desert.

All this for the bargain price of £24. All I can say people is avoid this place as it does not hold a candle to some of the other very good Chinese restaurants in and around Abingdon.

I only hope to save other fellow hungry people their...
