San Leo's Restaurant — Restaurant in Wakefield

Firstly, the service was very poor. Of which I assume was the mange (a male, in a shirt and trousers), was very rude, and gave out menu and told us to go choose a table, without actually showing us to a table. We were seated upstairs, and it was slightly chilly, they had three heaters on their rooftop seating area, which were off. So I asked if one of them could be turn on, and the response was ‘no we don’t have enough gas for them’. So we had to resort to sitting inside, which was defeated the whole object of coming there for the experience. The food arrived warm, but did not taste nice at all, and tasteless, I have tasted better food at weatherspoons. I went with four of my friends for a birthday, and they all had the same opinion about the food as myself. It was my friends birthday, as mentioned, and we had ordered cocktails etc.. and we had told the staff three times it was my friends birthday, expecting them to maybe do something a little special, such as sing… but nothing.

At one point, we had ordered two cocktails, which were waiting on the side of the bar for a good 20 minutes, and the manager who’s mentioned above, walked by them several times, and was actually stood at the side of them at one point. My friend had to get up, and go get the cocktails off the side himself. The cocktails tasted watered down, as if they had come out of a packet / can.

One of the staff members was lovely, and ran off her feet. ‘Shazzy’ I think her name is, she was so so very lovely, and so ran off her feet doing everything in the restaurant. Thank you Shazzy, for allowing our night to be some what lovely, as I feel like she held the restaurant...

We went to the Restaurant for my sister’s 18th birthday the service was impeccable and Nathan the person who was helping us was a star he helped us in any way he could and regularly checked that we were ok. A HUGE shoutout to him. The food was amazing we couldn’t’ even finish our food because we filled up on the bread. We will defo be going back we didn’t realise such good food was so close to us. Another thing is the restaurant was so pretty and just a nice place to be in. All the guests couldn’t stop saying how amazing the evening was. Absolutely amazing food Sadly the service let you down … forgetting to put a meal through the till resulting in me not having a meal for a prolonged period… no apology , raising the issue… no apology, being asked 10mins after raising the issue what I’d like with it (still no apology)… and eventually my food arrives (after everyone else had finished, finally an apology, but not enough time to eat it). Refund offered for 50% of the missing meal was sadly a disappointment We’d happily return to have food again when...
