Starbucks Coffee — Restaurant in Wakefield

I am writing this review with frustration. I was in a few weeks ago with my friend, we come in ever other week for a coffee and catch up. A few weeks ago we were served by a lovely older lady with dark hair, who was so friendly and helpful, such a credit to the team.

However today, we were served by a woman named Rose. She was rude and patronising. We ordered 2 iced caramel lattes.. whilst ordering I realised after checking on the app that our usual was a caramel frapp (a mistake on our part, we sell them all day so just rolled off the tongue). When we asked to changed as we'd said the wrong drink, Rose spoke to us like children in a patronising way telling us that next time make sure we ask for the correct named drink. This could of been said in a friendly manner, or maybe not even at all. Both myself and my friend were appalled. Whilst waiting for our coffee we heard the same woman, shout across in a very rude manner to a colleague (same lovely woman who I have mentioned above) and when she didn't jump to attention she shouted at her again. I understand you are busy especially on a hot day, but there is no need to speak to anyone like that and to do it to a and Infront of a customer is very poor service. Visited 31st October with our granddaughter. Waited over 10 minutes in the queue while staff hovered around the till looking confused. Eventually they seemingly resolved the problem. Ordered a Pumpkin latte which was constantly on the advertising boards behind the counter to be told 'Oh we don't have that anymore' ..... why continue advertising a product you haven't even ordered the ingredients for???? Quickly changed our order to something we didn't really want. Handed over two unappetising paninis as there wasn't much choice either of sandwiches or cakes... When we came to pay (an extortionate £27) the till wouldn't work again....4 attempts to take the money, three members of clearly inexperienced staff staring at the till while the queue was getting longer. I told them to forget it and left..... Went to Greggs, much more efficient, better atmosphere and definitely a better choice and...

Some staff appear to be dawdling without doing any tasks. One member of staff was standing around dining nothing while piles of plates formed on the tables. Other reviews claim they are short of staff but staff are just not doing their job. At one point 3 people came out of the back and 2 of them just stood around on their phones.

The 2 ladies making the drinks were doing a great job but only 1 guy was on the till, who was extremely slow. This caused a line to form that made me take 15 minutes just to order.

Other than the long line, slow service and poor staff (except for 2 coffee makers) the drinks...
