Thornes Lane Cafe — Restaurant in Wakefield

EDIT - I have spoken with sam the manager and the owener, who were both lovely! The experience wasn't great, but all the other girls have never been nothing short of amazing! Sam and claire couldn't apologise enough! The sandwiches are always nice from thornes and I will use them again after my conversation with Sam and claire! Thank you for taking the time to apologise!

Went today, did our regular sandwich run to Thornes, Tried calling a few times and nobody answered the phone, but was understandable! Its usually busy on a Friday morning, so I walked round from work. The usual girl who served us was lovely as always! she took our order and It have 11 breakfast orders in total that were requested from my colleagues. We went back to work and then walked back round 20 minutes later to collect. When we got back we dished out the sandwiches and I had one colleague without a sandwich. So I tried to call again and didnt get an answer, so once again I walked back round. It was questioned that the sandwich was even missing because they remember doing it... What do you say to this? 'Aww ok never mind' Id paid for a sandwich I didn't get! Some staff members were really nice and explained they make another as soon as possible. When the blonde girl brought it out, she walked straight past me, Walked up to the girl who took the order and literally threw the sandwhich on the till in front of her, mumbled something and then stormed back into the kitchen! Mumbling something is not what bothers me, but someone has to eat that sandwhich when she's finished throwing it around! I can imagine how she put it together when she knew i couldn't see! So Rude! Ive never known anything like it! Theres no wondering shes hiding in the back when her customer service is like that! Ill go to Bailey's or Joan's Next time! £36 order to be...

Food has always been nice from here. Unfortunately today I called in an order for delivery and the girl struggled to take the order which didn't fill me with confidence that the order would be correct.

She then asked someone in the background "do you know someone who lives at (my address) whilst I was on the phone Very unprofessional and actually annoyed me when she then came back and said "it's card payment only" which I already knew having ordered several times before.

The last time I ordered it was delivered to the wrong house through no fault of mine and it felt like they didn't want to deliver to me based on her general tone , so I cancelled it via voicemail as you can never get through straight away and went elsewhere. Tip. DON'T insult your regular customers whilst they are on the phone with you!! Not impressed and...

Hands down worst breakfast I’ve ever bought. Waited 15 mins at the counter to get served initially, then had a 45 minute wait for the breakfast to arrive.

When it came I was faced with a plate of food topped with a mountain of undercooked chips covering the whole plate. Once I removed all the chips I could see the bacon was extremely undercooked and the sausages were just low quality processed rubbish, hash browns were practically white they were that undercooked.
