Kate the owner is one of the most professional and kind people in the industry. Having only a small amount of staff this place is ran perfectly and professionally without being pretentious. The menu is extensive and delicious and the barista is always attentive with what drinks you would like. For a cafe AJ’s is an all rounder with alcoholic beverages breakfasts and many more. My colleague and I went there yesterday for our lunch break and we both ordered fish, chips, onion rings and tartare sauce. We were told that the wait was 20 minutes as they were very busy. We said that was fine. 40 minutes later we asked if they could put the food in a take away box as we had to get back to work.. They did this and handed us the boxes with a mumbling of an apology. I planned to meet a friend here for some food and coffee after checking out the menu on their website and seeing lots of great vegan options. However, we were handed the menu which had no vegan choices whatsoever. I went to the till and asked the man if they had any vegan options like the ones on the website. He said no, and that the website is old and he is the new owner and has no vegan options. He did offer the veggie breakfast without eggs but that's not really what I was looking for.
