Waitress was great- friendly, hospitable and warm. Service generally was a little slow even with only one cover before us.

Salty soup, bread cooked on meat grill, humus dish served with a disconcerting slick of substandard humus on the plate. Edible but seriously sad.

Two men cooking were utterly grim - using the same gloves for moving non-food things around from other rooms, as well as over-handling (w. gloved and ungloved hands) food people were going to eat. After noticing them doing this, along with the quite rough looking one eating chips whilst serving, I felt uncomfortable and made sure the depths of the unsanitary food prep. didn’t get worse. Observing them, in an open kitchen, made them take offence and proceed to scowl at me until we left. Atmosphere was dire and the dead rose on the table as decoration just reflected the utter lack of care they all have. Vile hole of a place and would strongly suggest avoiding if you value your health. Where their high rating comes from is a mystery to me…self written...

Terrible service , I was in a group of three, only two drinks brought to the table, when we prompted the waitress she brought the drink about 10 minutes later, it wasn't the drink that was ordered but we never raised the issue, then when the meals arrived only two showed up, again we prompted the waiter and he said it would be two minutes, 15 minutes later and still no meal for me! The manager came over and was told of the issue, 10 minutes later the meal turned up. We noticed the same scenario going on at three other tables with people complaining, one couple was sat there after ordering and hadn't got one of their starters, waiting at least 15 minutes for it to arrive. This restaurant will not survive for one day outside Aberystwyth. We went with family when visiting the area as tourists in July 2023, having read great reviews online. The food was not even average - it was below average. I’ve had a lot of Turkish food in my life but never this tasteless, cold and flavourless. And it was very expensive for what it was. A £75 mixed platter had a few stale pieces of meat and we were charged separately for dips. Absolutely atrocious! Nobody asked after us after we sat down for ages. We were given stale, reheated bread, and a spoonful of hummus for £5. I’ve eaten in the best Turkish restaurants in the South East of England, and they would never disrespect customers by giving them such sub standard food AND shoddy service. Don’t waste your time...
