Burger Me Restaurant — Restaurant in Wales

Went for meal with my partner and baby daughter. Had an ok meal, but by no means spectacular.

We arrived around 7 15pm. It took about 40 minutes or so from arrival to get our food when the restaurant was far from busy. We'd expected a fairly quick service given the restaurant was half-empty but it proved to be anything but.

The food when it was arrived was good in my view (4 star) but my partner was less keen (3 star). Burger tasted good but was quick to disintegrate. The chilli fajita chips were the best bit. There was no kids menu so were in some difficulty with giving food to our baby.

The tables were very cramped, all the more so with the additional high chair. The table we were put at was incredibly uneven and we actually needed to move to the neighbouring table to eat.

The food was expensive, however the drinks prices were very reasonable. They implemented an automatic 10% service charge, which I had been tempted to take issue with given the time taken to get served, but ultimately didn't as the waitress was nice and we received our bill promptly.

Overall: not a disaster, but we won't be...

Waited to be seated as the sign said, kept getting looked at by the staff member in the kitchen so seated myself. After a while a lady appears, she was lovely, took our orders. Drinks arrived, coke tasted like water with a lemon wedge- disgusting. Food arrived, burgers and chips were lovely. Loaded chips had a really odd taste to it, wasn’t nice, left the rest after a few mouthfuls. Came to paying and I was told a price, then a ticket was printed and then told a different price, I questioned what the charge was for and I was told it was for a tip. Then I was asked why I couldn’t understand- which I could, I was just unaware of why the bill had risen after being told one price and I didn’t expect a tip to be...

Excellent food unless you have an allergy. My wife's gluten free bread burger had to be sent back as it was not what she had ordered; when it finally arrived, her side order had gone stone cold. Food may well have been gluten free but was contaminated during the preparation or serving up. Side orders were served separate from the accompanying meals so some of the party had to wait 15 mins+ for the burgers- lovely burger with cold fries! Unprofessional approach by staff who did not handle complaints well. No priority given to young childrens orders, they arrived after parents meals. Considering that they are open until 8pm, they started dismantling tables and removing chairs...
