Went to Cafe Penuel with my family recently, and honestly, it was a bit of a letdown.
I had the jacket potato and it was loaded with beans — like way too many — and barely any cheese. It just didn’t taste right. The black pudding didn’t have much flavour either, kind of bland.
One of the sandwiches came with lettuce that had brown bits on it, which wasn’t great. I ordered a cappuccino too, but it was really milky and not frothy at all. When I asked, they said the frother machine wasn’t working... would’ve been good to know before I ordered.
We also grabbed some canned drinks — some were nice and cold, but others were warm. Just a bit inconsistent all around.
The place has potential, but it needs more attention to the small things. Not the worst café ever, but definitely needs some...

Second visit was awful, everything was pale and greasy, beans were visibly different and tasted awful. The cans of soda were warm and expensive at £1.50 Nothing good to say as we wasted 70% of the food. The cafe wasn't even busy.
My advice to owner would be to get better sausage, hash brown and beans and add the cost to the breakfast. Also make sure there is a little colour to the food by cooking a little longer.
I really wanted to like it as the cafe is in a dog friendly zone...
