Arriving at Ed's diner we were told straight away that even though there were plenty of seating available it would be a 45 minute wait for food. The reason for this was their take away service had a promotion and the kitchen was tied up with them. I have been to many Indian and Chinese restaurants that have takeaway service but never ever has that affected service times in the restaurant to that extent. The don't seem well set up for both of these services or should at least prepare for the issue on a know bust Saturday night. Anyway, as we needed to feed the children and the fact that there were ques and longer waiting times in the other restaurants we decided to dine here. The boy who greeted us was friendly but a bit washy on what table to give us. We asked for a booth as we had kids and a pram to hide. after seating the boy walked off and i had to go and get menus off him? It wasn't too long until he came back for our orders. Waiting time was pretty much 45 minutes, but i must say, there didn't seem like a lot of activity at the open kitchen. Very slow. We had our drinks straight away and ordered refills by the time food came out. Again i think he forgot and i had to ask to get our drinks he was supposed to have ordered. When food eventually came he gave us the plates and walked off. No napkins, no knives & forks. I took it upon myself to help my self from the service desk. This is basic customer service not being carried out and it wasn't that busy in the restaurant. Food was nice, burgers were cooked well and also the fries. Eventually we finished and i went and stood by the service counter to get and pay for the bill. Its a shame that this place is really let down by bad organisation and not so good customer service. Even though the boy was friendly enough. No toilets onsite, You can use the main shopping centre toilets around the corner. Overall an expected slow service but not so good customer service thrown on top. Probably wont come here again on a weekend.

Never again! We ordered, and waited almost an hour for it to arrive. It later emerged that the restaurant had a deliveroo promotion on, but, for reasons best known to the supervisor, one chef had been sent home earlier in the shift because it was quiet then. The food, when it arrived, was disappointing. My mac and cheese side was tiny for £4 (picture taken after I'd asked the waiter if it was the correct portion size - he went and added about a tablespoon to it!) and the pasta itself was significantly overcooked. My friend's classic hotdog had bread he described as being like a marshmallow (he didn't eat it) and, somewhat oddly, raw not fried onions. A second root beer I didn't order arrived and I had to ask that it be removed from the bill. It's a good job we had a 50% off food discount card (gourmet society) else we would have been even more miffed. The walls need a scrub too - they're scuffed, with splatters of food welded to the paintwork in places, and multiple barflies had taken up residence on the walls - as they like sugar and moisture, it indicates a lack of hygiene (the name, barfly, originates from their tendency to inhabit grubby pubs). Likewise, the menus had clearly seen better days - ripped, and had apparently absorbed some spilt drink at some point in the past.

Passed by for a late dinner and was super excited to try Carl’s Jr., especially since it’s considered the equivalent of Hardee’s in my home country, a brand I’ve always loved. First impressions were great: the décor and vibes were spot on, the space was clean and comfortable, and the staff were excellent. A special shoutout to Precious, who was incredibly polite, engaging, and made us feel welcome. Unfortunately, the food didn’t live up to the hype. The Famous Star burger came with a sesame bun that overwhelmed the flavour and cheapened the experience. The beef patty lacked juiciness and balance. The Jalapeño Crispy Chicken was even worse…the bun was stale, and the chicken was so tough it was nearly impossible to chew, possibly even undercooked. I tried tearing it with my hands and couldn’t. The onion rings were a highlight…crispy and flavourful and the fries were just okay, definitely not among the best out there. To top it all off, the prices didn’t match the quality. For what we paid, the food should have been far better. Overall, a real disappointment from what has always been one of my favourite burger brands. Sadly, I won’t be returning. If Carl’s Jr. is planning to expand in the UK, serious improvements need to be made to match the standard they’re known for elsewhere.

Ok food & service. I went to collect some fries & the double chicken stack burger or something like that plus some tenders. Wasn’t really impressed by the collection system I was order 399 & some other girls were 400 & 401. People just approached the till and asked for their order I was waiting to speak with staff me having waited longer than 400/401 but the staff member with tattoos decided to serve the girls 400 & 401 before me 399? Usually McDonalds staff will make the order bag it then shout in order for that person to collect here it’s just first come first served.

The food was ok I’ll be honest fries average burger juicy but the batter/coating is very thin / strange for me it wasn’t the nicest out there.

My biggest gripe really is the fries not being properly skinned instead everything is “skin on” fries that may pass in the USA but over here we just don’t like it. It may be an “acquired flavour or taste” but to us in the UK it’s just a way to “fancify” lazy cooking lets be honest. Lazy not even properly skinned fries, burgers juicy but poor coating & tenders all of that for something like £23-27? I’ll be honest the price for the quality & taste is astonishingly high I don’t think I’ll return anytime soon. I can get fries completely skin free, a burger & tenders from most places that not only taste better but are at the fraction of the price to what was paid here maybe £10-18 with delivery included.

Overall the chicken is weird very dry thin gently crispy coating it’s edible but far from amazing. Fries were good except every one didn’t have the skin off. It’s too expensive & there’s the fact they do no delivery you’re in a town centre with virtually no parking even if I would or could travel to such an awkward place the food especially at that price...

Went out with a few friends for some food. We're all very easy going and never complain but I feel like I have to after this experience. Had a server who seemed annoyed at our very existence. Seemed as if he just wanted to clock out ASAP and was very disinterested in doing even the bare minimum in terms of customer service. Got our food after about a 20 minute wait, which is fine. Pretty average. Its a shame that the service was so abysmal because the food was delicious. Sat for about 25 minutes after clearly finishing our food, had 6 empty plates. It was only when we stood up we were then asked if we wanted the bill.

We were paying separately which is a pain, yes, but not hard to print out 6 different receipts. Was paying for a friend so asked for those 2 meals to be put together. Another meal was put together by accident instead so just ended up having to sort it out ourselves even though those 2 bills were literally 4 items - not hard to mess up. After having the receipts printed we then waited 15 MINUTES for somebody to show up with a card machine and this was after my friend had to go up to a staff member and ask. Seems like they had just forgotten an entire table of 6 people even though there was plenty of staff and the restaurant was not that busy. Left feeling like the staff really didn't care about their jobs at all and didn't want to be there. Other tables looked visibly annoyed as well.

Again, we're the easiest people to please in the world even with the bare minimum standard of service but this experience wasn't even that. Its a shame because the food is great but after the service at this visit I don't think I'll be...
