My daughter ordered burgers and fries, with a dip through Deliveroo - it was her first order. However, only one burger with fries arrived with a different dip. We checked the Receipt which gets attached to the order delivered, to see if we got the right order. To our shock the order details were correct but not the order. My daughter was hungry as it had been a long time since she had her lunch, so I told her that she can eat the burger and fries that were delivered, that I’ll call the store. The store was surprised as to how this happened, but they were not be able to send the order due to store closing time, the store asked me to get a full refund through Deliveroo. I messaged Deliveroo only to be told that I cannot get a refund as I did not take a picture of the order that arrived and sent them - we were not aware of this, or I would have taken a pic. I did send them a pic with the wrappers in the box with the dip that we didn’t order. However, Deliveroo said no to a refund as a pic was not provided. It wasn’t Deliveroo’s fault but the store’s fault as they did not provide the correct order to the delivery guy. I so wish they could check their camera or some system about this matter. Just so disappointing, going to bed without dinner tonight for me. I will not be ordering from Shake shack for a while. Please check your order before the delivery guy goes off after...
Read moreI'll start by saying that if you've been to a Shake Shack in the US and hope to find the same thing here, stay away. They have crinke-cut chips nad and that's about where the similarities end.
I did not enjoy my meal here. I paid £16.50 for a double burger with fries, which is approaching Five Guys territory.
The fries were basic oven fries, they don't have the cajun spice that you can find in the US, and the portion was on the small side.
The burger was downright bad: it wasn't a properly cooked smash burger and had very little crust, if any. It was very underseasoned and tasted mostly like boiled meat, like when you make a burger at home and your pan isn't hot enough. The rest of the toppings, however, were too salty, so the result was a bite of bland meat with a topping of side. I added bacon and pickles to my burger, both of which were very badly cooked: the bacon was thick and not crispy, and the pickly was chunky, way too salty, and only covering about 25% of the burger surface area.
I was thoroughly disappointed, especially for the price I paid. I've been to specialty burger restaurants that were cheaper and much, much better, so there's absolutely nothing...

Mark = Team Umami with the Korean BBQ Burger 🤤 Me = Team Swicy with the Gochujang Chicken (I’m such a sucker for a chicken burger 🍗✨)
🍔 Korean BBQ Burger – juicy, smoky, salty. Mark’s fave. 🍗 Gochujang Chicken – crispy, sticky-sweet, fresh slaw. My winner. 🍟 Fries – loaded were fun, but classic salted hit best. 🍫 Desserts – Sticky Toffee & Union Shack = indulgent + gorgeous. 🥤 Shakes – Matcha Cookies & Cream was the surprise star 🌟 🍹 Drinks – Strawberry Yuzu Lemonade = refreshing perfection.
✨ Faves: Burgers & desserts, hands down.
