Read moreUpon arrive at the Croeso lounge we enjoyed our 5 minutes standing in the street at the entrance while we browsed the staff ignoring us. After finally being greeted we were given incorrect information about the availability of tables and they absent mindedly waved us on to search the unknown premises for a free table by ourselves.
Forgivably our table in the terrace had a delightful view.
After ordering online (without the option of a cash payment) we began our wait…
My food order arrived in a very respectable 10 minutes it came with the side of a promise my drink was just behind it. However, it was not to be. I gazed longingly as my Diet Coke was teased by staff with a depressive manner as they offered my drink to other tables in the distance. I looked on in baffled amusement as me Diet Coke was rejected by table after table. But alas the Diet Coke never made it to my thirty lips.
Meanwhile my friend was forced to watch on as I had no choice but to eat my food in-front of him, in fear that the temperature would decrease to that of a salad. As there was still no sign of the sweet sustenance he had traded his hard earn cash for.
45 minutes after I placed my order for said diet Coke I had all but lost hope . Until in the corner of my eye I saw a young member of staff holding the distinctive coloured drink that had to be my Diet Coke. Devastated was an understatement! My heart sank as I spectated the horror of the member of staff taking two hearty gulps of what I could only describe as now the staff’s Diet Coke.
Despite this gruelling ordeal; the misery was not yet over.
50 minutes after I had received my food my friend was finally presented with his. Despite waiting an hour for his order and enduring me eating in-front of him his face lit up at the sight of his food. He joyfully raised the first flavoursome fork to his mouth. His eyes filled with excitement… …it was cold.
You can only imagine his disappointment.
In the same moment I had asked the member of staff about my Diet Coke he returned with an only 70% filled glass of Diet Coke which in turn was 30% ice. A twist to the dagger already fixed deep in my heart.
To really hammer the nail into the coffin the staff were evidently incapable of the simple task of filling a jug of tap water and delivering it to our table.
A truly...
Read moreI am writing to tell you about my experience when we visited Croeso last week.
There was 9 of us all sat together, one of the female staff was very helpful and helped us move a table so we could all sit together.
We ordered our meals on the app, separately (mostly in pairs) they were delivered by numerous staff, then there was some confusion around a meal that was duplicated. I was served mine, but my niece sat next to me (who had ordered the same), saw them walk over with the food and then take it back to the serving hatch. I told the young lady, (whose name I have chosen to emit from the review) that it was my nieces, but she clearly didn’t hear me properly and went about pointing at the screen with the food orders complaining to her colleagues that we had put the wrong table numbers. As all the food hasn’t been brought out at that point, my niece waited, when all the other meals were served, I called the waiter and explained that I believed the food at the serving hatch was my nieces. The rude young lady called could clearly be seen and heard to say “for christs sake, they said it wasn’t theirs”, which is not what I said. The young man brought the food. The rude waitress then brought cutlery and rolled her eyes as she walked away, sadly not only did she do it once, but she did it twice when she brought one of our parties side. Thinking she was out of view, but unfortunately not or maybe it was her intention for me to see. I am fully appreciative that the weather was hot.that day, but none of your other the staff behaved like that. I felt very uncomfortable whenever she passed us.
Whilst I am complaining about the poor attitude of this young lady, can I add that all the other servers were very polite and courteous. Also a special mention for Dan, who made sure we were well looked after and was very polite and friendly while he was clearing away our glasses and dishes.
Another observation was that her hair was tied back at one point, then down at another (which is potentially a food and hygiene concern).
I did send an email to Croeso a week ago, but no response. I feel upset that they think it appropriate for staff to...
