Beautiful setting, great drinks and tasty food... BUT.... Horrendously slow for a Wednesday evening. Drinks were taking 30 minutes to arrive and sundae turned up melted (I can only assume it was waiting under the kitchen heatlamps for a while). There's a fantastic gluten free menu and the salads we ordered we're absolutely brilliant, but the number of people that were sat at tables with no drinks for 30+ mins was appalling and we saw people leave because they couldn't get served in person (if you order through the website you pay up front so are a bit stuck!!). Maybe the incredibly hot weather is partly to blame, but then when they put a third person on drinks they seems to get on top of it so maybe it just needed more management on the floor... Who knows!

For a place that always seems busy it amazes me how the staff always have time to be pleasant and personable. Greeted at the door with a relaxed yet comprehensive welcome in line with current covid procedures. Paper menus and app available to use ( used app which was pretty straight forward). Had an Osaka sour made by a lovely young lady (Sadie/ sayde?) And then went for the new York deli burger. Food arrived in good time (25 mins, acceptable for how busy it was) so spent the meantime soaking up the view. Burger was juicy, delicious and filling. Thoroughly enjoyed so diolch Croeso 🦈♥️

The food was ok & was prompt In arriving @ our table Hygiene wise our experience was very poor as my partner had chips on his coffee cup & my mum had several chips on her tea pot ! All of them are a health hazard as the germs they harbour ! We were told that is how they came out of the dish washer … well if that is the case either the crockery or dishwasher need replacing ! When you go out for food you expect to get better than you would in your own home or equal & I have no chipped crockery in my home ! Pictures enclosed !

Croeso Lounge: A Welcoming Gem in Mumbles Nestled on Mumbles Road, Croeso Lounge truly lives up to its name ("Croeso" meaning "welcome" in Welsh), offering a vibrant and inclusive dining experience for locals and visitors alike. This branch of the popular "Lounges" chain stands out for its unique charm and consistently positive atmosphere. One of the immediate draws of Croeso Lounge is its striking and eclectic decor. The interior is a feast for the eyes, with an abundance of art, quirky lighting, and comfortable seating that creates a relaxed and inviting ambiance. Whether you're settling in for a casual brunch or an evening meal, the space feels both lively and comfortable. The menu at Croeso Lounge is extensive and caters to a wide range of tastes and dietary needs. They are particularly praised for their dedicated gluten-free and vegan menus, which offer a refreshing breadth of choice beyond typical limited options. From hearty breakfasts to delicious burgers, tapas, and classic dishes, there's something for everyone. Reviewers frequently highlight the quality of the food, noting that even with a varied menu, the dishes are consistently well-prepared and tasty. Beyond the food, the service at Croeso Lounge is consistently lauded. Staff are described as friendly, efficient, and attentive, often going the extra mile to ensure a pleasant visit. Even during busy periods, the team manages to maintain a fluid service, with food arriving quickly and to a high standard. A significant plus for many is the dog-friendly policy, particularly in the downstairs area. This makes Croeso Lounge a perfect spot for those wanting to enjoy a meal out with their furry companions, with water bowls and treats often available. The venue also caters well to families, offering a kids' menu and activities to keep younger diners entertained. While Croeso Lounge can get busy, a testament to its popularity, the layout and service generally handle the crowds well, ensuring a comfortable experience for patrons. The option to order at the bar or from your table provides flexibility, and the heated outdoor balcony offers lovely views of Swansea Bay, perfect for warmer days. In summary, Croeso Lounge in Mumbles is a fantastic choice for anyone seeking a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, a diverse and delicious menu with excellent dietary options, and friendly, efficient service. It's a true gem that consistently delivers on its promise of a great...

Upon arrive at the Croeso lounge we enjoyed our 5 minutes standing in the street at the entrance while we browsed the staff ignoring us. After finally being greeted we were given incorrect information about the availability of tables and they absent mindedly waved us on to search the unknown premises for a free table by ourselves.

Forgivably our table in the terrace had a delightful view.

After ordering online (without the option of a cash payment) we began our wait…

My food order arrived in a very respectable 10 minutes it came with the side of a promise my drink was just behind it. However, it was not to be. I gazed longingly as my Diet Coke was teased by staff with a depressive manner as they offered my drink to other tables in the distance. I looked on in baffled amusement as me Diet Coke was rejected by table after table. But alas the Diet Coke never made it to my thirty lips.

Meanwhile my friend was forced to watch on as I had no choice but to eat my food in-front of him, in fear that the temperature would decrease to that of a salad. As there was still no sign of the sweet sustenance he had traded his hard earn cash for.

45 minutes after I placed my order for said diet Coke I had all but lost hope . Until in the corner of my eye I saw a young member of staff holding the distinctive coloured drink that had to be my Diet Coke. Devastated was an understatement! My heart sank as I spectated the horror of the member of staff taking two hearty gulps of what I could only describe as now the staff’s Diet Coke.

Despite this gruelling ordeal; the misery was not yet over.

50 minutes after I had received my food my friend was finally presented with his. Despite waiting an hour for his order and enduring me eating in-front of him his face lit up at the sight of his food. He joyfully raised the first flavoursome fork to his mouth. His eyes filled with excitement… …it was cold.

You can only imagine his disappointment.

In the same moment I had asked the member of staff about my Diet Coke he returned with an only 70% filled glass of Diet Coke which in turn was 30% ice. A twist to the dagger already fixed deep in my heart.

To really hammer the nail into the coffin the staff were evidently incapable of the simple task of filling a jug of tap water and delivering it to our table.

A truly...

I am writing to tell you about my experience when we visited Croeso last week.

There was 9 of us all sat together, one of the female staff was very helpful and helped us move a table so we could all sit together.

We ordered our meals on the app, separately (mostly in pairs) they were delivered by numerous staff, then there was some confusion around a meal that was duplicated. I was served mine, but my niece sat next to me (who had ordered the same), saw them walk over with the food and then take it back to the serving hatch. I told the young lady, (whose name I have chosen to emit from the review) that it was my nieces, but she clearly didn’t hear me properly and went about pointing at the screen with the food orders complaining to her colleagues that we had put the wrong table numbers. As all the food hasn’t been brought out at that point, my niece waited, when all the other meals were served, I called the waiter and explained that I believed the food at the serving hatch was my nieces. The rude young lady called could clearly be seen and heard to say “for christs sake, they said it wasn’t theirs”, which is not what I said. The young man brought the food. The rude waitress then brought cutlery and rolled her eyes as she walked away, sadly not only did she do it once, but she did it twice when she brought one of our parties side. Thinking she was out of view, but unfortunately not or maybe it was her intention for me to see. I am fully appreciative that the weather was hot.that day, but none of your other the staff behaved like that. I felt very uncomfortable whenever she passed us.

Whilst I am complaining about the poor attitude of this young lady, can I add that all the other servers were very polite and courteous. Also a special mention for Dan, who made sure we were well looked after and was very polite and friendly while he was clearing away our glasses and dishes.

Another observation was that her hair was tied back at one point, then down at another (which is potentially a food and hygiene concern).

I did send an email to Croeso a week ago, but no response. I feel upset that they think it appropriate for staff to...
