I was in Mumbles as my mother was down from Bristol and wanted to see the pier. It was a cold November morning so we decided to stop off for a bite to eat and to warm up.
We entered and were warmly welcomed by staff, we found a table with ease, despite it being fairly busy.
We sat and looked over the menu which offered a wide selection of light bites, sides and main meals.
I went to place our order at the bar and a staff member (Pat) asked about any food allergies, this I was impressed with as I’ve never been asked this before. Normally I have to point out I have an allergy.
There was some confusion with what I had ordered as we wanted to swap a panini for it to be a sandwich instead. Another staff member (Liz) assisted with resolving this issue.
I returned to our table with our drinks and our food arrived fairly quickly after. The food was well presented and hot.
There was salad dressing which I questioned whether it contained eggs. A staff member (Jack) went to check and quickly returned to remove the salad and its dressing as it did contain egg.
From the welcome when we stepped through the door to the time we left we received outstanding customer service. There is nothing that could be improved up on and it was in to see staff working so well to deliver outstanding customer service.
As a result this is one of very few five star rating I have awarded as I have to be really impressed to...
Read moreIt was my first time to this lovely place. The staff were great. We walked in off the street after a long motorbike ride. So some of my group of friends ate. Others just sat on some lovely comfy chairs & bench seating that was cushioned. The food we ordered was fresh cooked and for the 4 friends and myself. The food was well worth the price, which I believe to be very fair. I left there feeling satisfied and happy to return again. Which I am definitely going to do soon. The access is OK for a person in a wheelchair as long as it is not too wide. A slight slope as one enters is the main challenge for anyone with mobility issues, like myself.
If you are into your football it was nice to view the many screens. So I imagine it would appeal to many. They have good access to toilets also a large WC for disabled and I assume new mothers and babies.
The WC was clean at the time I was there. So as I stated earlier, I am happy to return, and soon. First time for me of many to come.
I hope I have helped at least one person with this review. I would be very surprised if you found a different opinion. I know it is not Michelin star food. But 5 stars is my opinion of what myself, also those I was with agreed was great fare, Service &...
Read moreCalled yesterday for a meal as we always do when visiting the mumbles, ordered 2 meals, scampi and cod & chips, asked if you could possibly swap the peas to baked beans instead and told only if i paid extra so i didn't bother. When the meals arrived mine had less than half the amount of chips to my wife's, i told the waitress she said thats as it is ok and walked away, i then got up and asked another member of staff to look at both meals and see the difference, she said the chips are pre measured in baskets so equal each time, i said well this isnt equal, she walked away. Can't say we'll call back again, and just for a few chips... ??? And because it was just the fish it looked like what my son calls " Prison portions". And infact the staff at the table were quite rude and matter of fact after loads of visits and a point of call every time we left somewhat peeved ! I'd appreciate a reply. Many thanks. N.Fletcher
I had a chat and reply via email off the Manager who appologised and offererd 2 free meals and a bottle wine on the house when we next visit the mumbles. So it's not all the staff the same. Thankyou Ruth, we will call next time a d hopefully all future visits will be...
