Glanmor's Bakery — Restaurant in Wales

Cannot believe the smoking service I received in Glanmors. Normally I see they are good but today I waited in the queue and the tall lady server with glasses was so busy talking about her friend not wanting to go out because of the Manchester bombings totally passed over me and served the person behind me who ordered the last of what I wanted. They need to stop distracting themselves and serve in order. I try not to go there as its usually busy so when it's a little quiet and still get bypassed it's just poor service. I've never had a complaint with the food but service is aweful after waiting at least 10 minutes...

Love love love Glanmors Bakery. I used to work here 40 years ago. All the staff in clean white coats, aprons and hats. A must if you visit caerphilly. The sandwiches full of fillings, the big cream cakes, the carrot cake and paradise slice so lovely but my favourite has to be the custard slices, ( best in the world). We came by because everyone was hungry and we needed it to be a quick bite. Wow!!!!! The food was delicious, rave reviews from all four of us. But the best part for our family was the friendly baker and the lady who helped explain all about the traditional baked goods. We are from the US and didn't know about some of the pastries and we had every question answered with such patience. Our kids loved the sweet treats too.
