I love Hay Deli. I'm constantly buying their olives, hummus and samosas. The staff are all knowledgable foodies who regularly help me to find obscure ingredients and make helpful recipe suggestions. They stock a great range of ethical produce. The Deli has also been a life-line to the community during the pandemic. During the first lockdown the Deli supplied locals with toilet roll when the supermarket shelves were bare. They went the extra mile to get deliveries to customers at home. I explained I had an exemption, but he was adamant I was not crossing over his threshold. This is discrimination and self-policing.
