I love Hay Deli. I'm constantly buying their olives, hummus and samosas. The staff are all knowledgable foodies who regularly help me to find obscure ingredients and make helpful recipe suggestions. They stock a great range of ethical produce. The Deli has also been a life-line to the community during the pandemic. The male boss has made me feel very unwelcome. I have medical mask exemption and was told I had to be served outside? Is this not disability discrimination Sir! Also I like to see what I am buying as some times there are cheaper options..how many people can stand outside a shop and know exactly what they want from the doorway. I have a mask exemption and was stopped at the door by the male owner, who said I was unable to come in due to this. I explained I had an exemption, but he was adamant I was not crossing over his threshold. This is discrimination and self-policing.
