Karl's Fish & Chips — Restaurant in Wales

I went there to buy fish and chips. Waited outside in the freezing cold because they only allowed 2 people inside due to Covid regulations. My opinion is there was enough space for 3. When one customer came out then I went in. Before I could place my order another customer waiting outside was called in because he had placed a telephone order. I was then asked to go back outside and wait in the cold again. The female customer still inside who had been the next one, in front of me had placed her order and she then offered to wait inside their cafe next door, so that I could go back inside. The lady in charge of serving told the female customer to stay there and I would have to wait. Another lady had been waiting in the cafe next door to keep warm and even when she came out and left to go home, nobody else was allowed to go into the cafe and wait out of the cold. I then decided to leave and try elsewhere. I will never go to either of Karl's chip shops ever again. They need to learn how to treat good paying customers. We took a visit 16th June 2022 About 4 ish. We have been before and it was loverly. How ever this time we called it was absolutely disgusting we had 2 large cod and chips. Jumped in the camper went up to hilltop to eat them. Opened the bag to find the paper was soaked in greese opened up the cartons and the fish was well over cooked was pretty much brown and tried a chip which was like a guessing game of which is cooked or not. The lady who was serving was clearly more interested in what her friend had to say than keeping an eye on other orders. It was that bad we binned everything. The food was okay, but the staff couldn’t have been less welcoming if they’d tried! We were on holiday in the area and called here for a takeaway, it was an hour before closing and we didn’t have a particularly large order but I appreciate that it was larger than average - 5 meals. Our order was taken without question but the service was incredibly slow and the looks that the staff gave us whilst we were waiting made us very uncomfortable. They were also passing comment to each other that ‘some of them would like to get home at some point today’.
