KFC Wrexham - St Georges Crescent — Restaurant in Wales

Walked in to order some chicken and chips and when it got to my turn to place my order the staff walked away to the back to do other things without uttering a word, and the two other staff in front of me also were doing stuff. I waited for a few minutes and no one attended to me which got me upset. Customer service etiquette to at least acknowledge a customers presence and then tell me to wait a few minutes due to them trying to sort pending orders would have been ok, but she just walked away. When I eventually called the attention of the other staff and complained about being ignored, in her words “as you can see we are busy, I’m just a staff. If you want you can speak to the manager”. So rude!!! No form of apology or anything. I complained to the manager and he haphazardly apologized and still tried to justify them ignoring me because they were busy. To think the manager doesn’t understand basic customer service etiquette and trying to defend bad customer service is absolutely beyond me. This is KFC!!! On a good day the food is excellent, if you like a kfc. On a bad day, and your really hungry, it's still good, but sometimes food is not hot although usually cooked well. Update, visited Tuesday 24.05.22, another nice Fillet.box meal. Delicious. Gravy superb, nice fillet burger, slightly not hot enough same with the chicken and fries, a few more fries would be nice too. Pepsi max Delicious. Overall ok. I've had some cracking FBM's there recently tho. UPDATE!! July 2023...had one of the best kfc's there gorgeous chicken, loads of fries (ask nicely you get more) gravy and good fillet burger. Spot on and we'll done. Addendum* price in 2021 and before £6.49/£6.89....now £9.79 ish.....obviously due to energy prices and probably some profiteering. Oh do I love KFC. Appreciating the franchising of the outlets quality could vary. I visit two, Wrexham & Mile End Oswestry. Oswestry is a very busy unit with staff under pressure to deliver the food to hungry travellers. I would like to make particular reference to when the National problem of KFC having delivery difficulties. There was a large clear notice at the entry, (but national news had made clear the issues). When I went in there were still many enjoying their meals as I walked towards the counter. Greeted with a fabulous smile, my order was taken, with no alteration due to stock limits, everyone pulled together, NO COMPLAINTS OR ATTITUDE. Not an easy job I'm sure, but wow, credit where it's due, the young crewe deserve recognition for upholding the standard of service under the stress of major difficulties outside their control.
