The food? Delicious. Presentation? Impeccable. Staff behaviou? Friendly, mature and overall outstanding. Pricing? Adequate. Adhearing to Covid-19 restrictions? Acceptable. ----- Timing? That's where I had to think whether to adjust my rating. Now, don't get me wrong, it's not as though I was waiting 2 hours to get a bite to eat. It was within a reasonable time, and I suppose that the presentation for the food takes some time. However, if you went there for food and expected to leave within an hour, don't. It's not a pub, and it certainly isn't a McDonald's. You will have to wait to get a your fine dining. On the other hand, I must give a 10/10 to the staff. One of the bartenders that mixed my cocktail (Aviation) had came to me personally saying he's realised that he accidentally used a different liquor, (black Berry instead of vanilla) and that he'd be happy to take it back and remake it with the correct liquor. However since I've never had that drink before I wouldn't have known the difference 🤣 so I've let it be, it still tasted delicious and I had no complaints. 10/10 to the staff.

First visit : Love this place. Trendy bar/restaurant with great cocktails and tasty food. Good selection of veggie food on menu. Lots to choose from. The hanging kebabs are great. Well priced. Second visit: On my recent visit I was very disappointed with the food and service. The food was very average. My halloumi hanging kebab came out only half full. I ordered a mai tai cocktail and it did not come out lit. We ordered water for the table which they forgot to bring until they saw my partner up at the bar waiting for some himself. And then desert was the worst it. First my order came out wrong they brought me the trio of deserts when I ordered the salted caramel tart. I wish I stuck with the trio. It was rock hard which made it difficult to break up so my partner was bashing away at it, there was toffee balls which just did not taste good and the chantilly cream did not taste right so I ended up leaving a lot of it. There was a lot of little things that weren't quite right which added up to a very poor dining experience.

Service was great, very attentive and quick. Food was a mixed bag of very enjoyable to mediocre. Nibbles and starters were really good, calamari was real good, although a few more pieces would have been good. Mains were enjoyed by most. Cluck burger 👍🏼, our teenage son smashed this. The hanging kebabs (chicken & lamb) were a good size and one was modded to gluten free 👍🏼, Linguine looked good and was enjoyed 👍🏼, Chilli pork chop and beans was not so good, chop overcooked and the beans were a bit murgh, needed less beans and more liquid 👎🏼, kids build your own when we asked if grilled chicken were told yes, came out as chopped up nuggets 👎🏼. Desert received the seal of approval, a huge piece of sticky toffee pudding and custard 👍🏼👍🏼. Venue itself could do with an update, seems it's been like this for some time, so a refresh, with some more contemporary decor would take it up a level. Thanks 😊

On approach it looked like a cheap half hearted entrance, the stairs leading to the restaurant were grimy! Although the staff were friendly, there was no uniform or dress code with the staff so didn’t know who was the customers or the staff! Jeans, trainers, t-shirts, blouses of all designs, gym gear just didn’t cut it! The restaurant itself felt like it was a bad effort in making a canteen classy! The gents toilets stank like a fast food joint! We where sat by the big window which overlooked the Indoor market car park and although they opened the balcony door to let the heat out, everyone went out there to smoke, so the fumes of cigarettes in a restaurant is not acceptable! For starters we had the meat and cheese sharing platter, which all the meats where over cooked and dry and the cheese where waxed coated , which had been segmented and they’d cut through and left on the bottom label on!! My main was a fillet steak, to which it was barely warm and I’ve never had a fillet with sinews in it before! The food was extremely poor! No effort which was shown! And we don’t appreciate being called love or darling when being served! This was supposed to be a nice birthday meal, we got dressed up, we should have turned up in our scruffs!! I felt embarrassed and cheap that I’d taken my girlfriend...

I dine at Levant fairly frequently and pop in quite often for a drink. I have never been anything less than 100 percent satisfied. I have tried most things on the menu, from bar snacks to lavish evening meals and they have all been consistently fantastic. The pricing is reasonable, the staff are, without exception; courteous, efficient and professional. The restaurant is always spotlessly clean and the ambiance is warm, relaxed and friendly. The manager/owner is always visible which I believe is key to their success. The staff have a way of making you feel that you are important and valued as a customer however busy they are, nothing is too much trouble. I really could not recommend this venue highly enough, weather popping in for a bite to eat or treating guests from out of town, this is my number one place! I have been there in small groups, on my own and in large parties in their function room, the service has been outstanding on every occasion. In recent times they have set a very high standard for Covid security and it is obvious from the moment you enter the restaurant that they take current measures very seriously. Well done Levant, keep on doing...
