On calling to Liberty Tavern & Wine Bar while a 3 day stay in Llangollen in the Second week in April, My wife and I had the pleasure of having breakfast and evening Tapas and of course wine with the evening meal..... Having to choose a breakfast from such a hard choice, My wife ordered the Eggs Benedict and I the half welsh breakfast that was beautifully presented and also tasted as good as it looked with a pot of tea and a coffee that my wife loved... Which by the way is locally sourced.... The evening Tapas which was asked the Proprietor ( Billy ) to recommend, Which we had Garlic Prawns, Garlic Bread, Chorizo and Cheese and Ham Crockets and the obligatory Red & White Wine....At this point I would like to point out that the food was the nice we call again the following day again for Breakfast and Evening Tapas and Beverages....... We can honestly say that Liberty Tavern has a great Ambience and Atmosphere, Cosy and Nicely set out, Great food and menu choices, Fantastic selection of Ales, Beers, Wines and Sprits, But more importantly the Proprietor Billy was always chatting with his customers and asking was everything ok with there meals and drinks, which I thought was a great personal touch and also importantly his staff, Great Chef, The evening waiting on staff and nots lets forget the lovely Becky and her beautiful smile which would light any bodies day serving Breakfast and Tea and Coffee....... We popped into Liberty’s last week for a late lunch and were genuinely impressed. The 6 tapas and wine deal was fantastic....with the garlic prawns and the patatas bravas were out of this world.

The decor added so much to the experience. Tables perched on barrels gave the place a rustic, authentic Spanish vibe that made us feel like we had stumbled into a tucked-away tapas bar in Andalusia. It’s the kind of detail that shows real thought and love for atmosphere.

Service was excellent throughout, and the person we believe was the owner couldn’t have been more welcoming..warm, attentive, and clearly passionate about the place. It made the whole experience feel personal and memorable.

We love Liberty Tavern and Wine Bar. The wines are varied and delicious to perfectly compliment a fabulous menu of small plates and tasty tapas which are always served hot and freshly cooked. The atmosphere is friendly, cosy, warm and welcoming, and continues to be so each time we return. The owner Billy is really attentive and goes out of his way to ensure that his customers are valued and looked after. Nothing is ever too much trouble. This is one of the many reasons we keep returning and recommend this little gem of a place to our friends and family. Always our favourite place to visit...
