Nata & Co Bakery — Restaurant in Wales

I'd give a 5 star to this particular Nata & co in Castle street as I love their foods and service. The problem comes when I recently ordered a Birthday cake (I wanted a caramel cake with a Photo). I ordered on their website and I was called by Gina, the general manager. She said they didn't have caramel so I had only the strawberry option. I couldn't believe such a thing so I tried to work around to get a caramel cake. She then turned rude and told me, "we don't have caramel, don't you understand? I can refund your money straight away if you want!" So she gave me the chocolate option. When I picked up the cake the photo was horribly printed, missing colours and of course they had caramel cake in their display. As I said, good place in Castle St but customer service is really poor from their general manager, Gina. Thanks Gina, for ruining the cake, I even think you've done it in purpose! We order frequently here for all the family's birthdays and other events and never had a problem until I met this joke of general manager, I will think it twice going forward.

The bakery has a lovely, relaxed atmosphere — perfect for a quiet break or catch-up. The space is cosy with a nice chill vibe, and it’s clear that care has been taken in creating an inviting setting.

Unfortunately, the service didn’t match the ambience. Staff were quite cold and inhospitable, which left a bit of a sour note. I ordered the regular pastel de nata and the lemon version. The original was a bit too sweet for my taste, and the lemon one didn’t taste particularly fresh — it felt more like lemon curd added on top of the regular tart rather than a thoughtfully made variation.

This place is delicious, but never order online - don't make the same mistake as I did! I have purchased a 50 pound gift voucher for my friend on 3rd of April, to be delivered to her on 4th of April. Not only did my friend never receive the voucher and I had to awkwardly ask her if she received anything, but also the company told me they can't help me and asked me if I want to cancel the order. They were not able to give me the voucher code nor resend it to my friend. This has ruined the experience and what was meant to feel like a nice gift turned into a chore.
