Nook & Noble Cafe — Restaurant in Wales

We have eaten here before and always enjoyed the coffee, however , we went there Friday 25/04/25 and were so disappointed, the young lady working there was sullen to the point of being rude, She appeared to be suffering from a cold or perhaps hayfever and was constantly coughing or sniffing. Not a good look for a food venue. She could barely raise a smile let alone acknowledge the fact we were even there. The coffee , decaf cappuccinos, were disappointing, the froth was flat and the flavour was indistinguishable, usually it’s perfect….. The flat bread melts were ok, but, impossible to cut , the presentation was dull , the service was abysmal, just plopped on the table with not a word. We were so disappointed as we have had much friendlier service and much nicer food and drinks in the past . The atmosphere there was one of dark dread , there was no conversation , not even between the staff, and everyone was just sat in silence ???? The young man working there did at least smile on occasion but seemed nervous bless him. We have previously met the owner is very friendly and a joy to chat to. Unfortunately we won’t be returning any time soon, we like to enjoy our meals out in a happy relaxed atmosphere where you aren’t...

This is the place to go for coffee enthusiasts. The owner knows a lot about the beans and can give you recommendations, there are beans which aren't on the menue yet. They also offer vegan snacks and sweets. Sure you can have "just a cappuccino" but I recommend going into the coffee bean adventure at this little, hidden gem.
