I don’t generally leave reviews but I feel the need to warn others about the take away from Smash & Dough.
Firstly, the delivery was awful! We ordered via Just Eat and were given a delivery estimate of between 30mins - 1hr. The 1hr mark comes and goes so we look at the app to find the deliver window extended. The new estimated time again comes and goes with no update. After contacting Just Eat, Smash and Dough sent a text to say that delivery would now be around 8:30pm (1hr 45mins after ordered). Delivery was 8:45pm (2 hours after ordering) and there was no proactive communication.
Now to the food itself, whilst I have to give them props for it inexplicably arriving warm despite the 2 hour delay, it’s was completely tasteless and mushy. The smash burger and gravy dip tasted of nothing but were very greasy in texture and the only thing that seemed to have flavour (the donner meat) was as hard as a rock!
