McDonald's — Restaurant in Walsall

I occasionally go to Maccy D, not like when I was younger. The one I used was on the high St and has a second floor. It was packed with teens, table, school must've finished. Though there were a few dads with little kids. Nearly all the tables were taken. I had to wait for some to get up. There's such a quick swop-over. You have to wait until a worker clears the table.They don't wipe it afterwards, so there's chips and ketchup everywhere. Queues were up to 10 people, but there was no pushing in. The second floor was off-limits, though I did spot a few go up and come down again. The food really isn't anything to write home about. I had a chicken burger bap and chips. For the price, I expected a little more In the middle,there are 3 tablets that allow you to play games. A good idea for children. Or they would've been if they worked. Must've been a nice afternoon. Girls of about 15 were dressed in lime green tight lycia. One was a bit on the porky side. It's not an image you want as you eat. I asked for mayo for my burger, but the assistant told me they didn't do Mayo anymore! I had to have barbecue sauce, which was way too hot for me. Oddly, my burger had arrived with Mayo on it. The staff were busy, young people with red faces, tired and bored expressions. For what they're paid, I don't blame them. The place was shabby and uncared for. The glaring faces beaming from posters made me the opposite of what they were meant to. On leaving, the homeless guy sat outside on a blanket and asked for some money. He's always there, must be a good spot. I won't be going back for a while, not until I get the Maccy D...

Finally found a Mcdonalds that does it right. I've tried them a few times now and they really do provide hot fresh food. it seems like the Park St branch is run very professionally they seem to have high standards and dont just throw lukewarm food out but actually prepare the Mcdonalds like how it should, in my experience anyway others I'm sure will differ but for me it's one of the better branches in Walsall you actually get hot fresh food.

Update 16th May 2022 Once again visited this branch today and again I give it 5 stars. These guys are consistent, everytime I've been here I've been impressed with the quality of food I've recieved always fresh always hot a perfect example of how a Mcdonalds should be, they have never let me down yet. Management have really got the Park Street location running perfectly. If only all Mcdonalds were as good as these guys. Ordered breakfast 10.55 am only 5 mins before breakfast menu ends and my food tasted so fresh that I can't compliment them enough, really well done people keep doing...

First impressions, tables not cleared ( even after we sat in the restaurant for over half an hour ) Only one member of staff at the counter , who was polite and provided good service . Actual food Vegan McPlant at best not very warm and fries overcooked not fresh , I suspect they have been kept far too long prior to being sold. Toilets reasonably clean but a bad water spillage on the floor . I noticed the manager was zooming around doing alot of jobs ( he actually cleaned the toilets) and was clearing some of the tables, yet their were several younger staff behind the counter not doing anything. One other annoying thing was a tiny fly buzzing around our food , I appreciate flies can get into the unit but I suspect the poor housekeeping is not helping matters .
