Expensive disappointment or in Greek "sketi malakia". As a Greek I feel I can make a good judgement on the food and compare it to other cantines making such food. Also disappointing that a place called Greek Gyro has no gyro on the menu as told by the worker.
We ordered 2 boxes of pork souvlaki which comes with a premade Greek salad, chips, meat, pitta bread and tzatziki. All good so far apart from the price being a bit expensive at £10 per box.
It's a shame when for a plate like this the starring part is actually the chips. The souvlaki meat was very very average at best and wasn't anything like a traditional Greek souvlaki and it was spicy, something quite uncharacteristic for a Greek souvlaki. The salad was premade and it was horrible, didn't taste fresh at all and was just not nice. There were three tiny pitta breads that tasted old and stale and broke apart. All in all it was bad and £20 was way too expensive.
Only reason I've given two stars is because the person who was working there was really nice and polite, but the food was really sub par for that price. Wouldn't pay more than £4 for it. As a Greek I'd be ashamed to bring my friends there based on this experience. Maybe other stuff on the menu is better but I wouldn't risk it again.
I'm not expecting anything insane from a cantine, don't get me wrong, but I've tried cantines like this before in places like Daventry, other tiny restaurants in Birmingham, Lyme Regis and places and it was much much nicer. Hope this place improves either the price...

What a wast of £45...
