I'd love to give higher score, but my experience at Gusto Ricco Cafe wasn't great in August 2021. I decided to visit this place due to high score and a nice looking interior, so here is my impression from today: my table was sticky, I felt like they were over staffed, which is not necessarily a bad thing, but since the places is tiny it wasn't great either to have so much stuff walking around. Now, food...I ordered orange juice and panini with bacon, brie, cherry tomatoes and caramelized onion. That panini was awful (pictures attached) it was grease and onion was cut into huge peace's, presentation wasn't great either. I don't understand why crisps were added to the side, since I haven't had beer or even cider, and green salad on the side had one cherry tomato and one slice of cucumber. Don't know, but judge for yourself if you'd be happy to pay £11.10...also I asked for a bill, but was directed to their cashier area, which isn't a huge issue, but considering how small this place is, I think it would make sense if customers could pay at their table. The guy who processed my bill asked if I liked everything, I did mention that the meal was disappointing, he asked why, I replied because it is greasy, he did apologize, but no discount have been offered.

Update:

Yes, it was crepe not panini, my mistake. This correction doesn't make it less greasy, does it? Yes, I had garnish, not salad. Again, this correction doesn't make it tastier, does it? No comment about sticky table. Nasty comment about a note that you have too much staff, there was no need for that. I was indeed planning to come round once again, thinking I had one of poor experience, but after this comment I will avoid this place and will definitely not recommend to anyone else. I have update my score from 3 stars to 1 star. I also attached receipt and a copy of owners comment, in case he/she will decide to delete it. I also attached a picture of onions that were not cut to "my liking". Shame, I loved...

Was heading to Boston Tea Party but decided to try the vegan breakfast here instead. It was advertised as coming with vegan scrambled eggs. My boyfriend went inside to order and pay and was told they had no vegan scramble left so they would give extra mushrooms. When I double checked about the scramble, I was told it was a powder that they mixed with water and it wasn't very nice anyway! The breakfast arrived with no tomato and Lurpack butter for the toast. I asked for the non-dairy spread but they don't have it. I asked for an alternative but they could only offer jam or marmalade. I asked for a dollop of hummus but unusually they add dairy to that! Someone brought me a cooked tomato. Halfway through my breakfast we asked where my boyfriend's Mediterranean Breakfast was and they explained his order hadn't gone through. I pointed out that they should not advertise the breakfast as vegan unless they offer some plant based spread. If they sort this and the scramble out it would be a nice place for breakfast as the coffees were very nice and it's got a...

Gusto Ricco is a true gem in the heart of Leamington Spa! From the moment you step inside, you're greeted by the warm and inviting aroma of freshly brewed coffee and a cozy, vibrant atmosphere that feels like home.

Their coffee is nothing short of exceptional – rich, full-bodied, and expertly prepared. Whether you're a latte lover or a fan of a classic espresso, their menu caters to every preference. I also couldn’t resist trying one of their pastries, and it was heavenly – fresh, flaky, and absolutely delicious!

What truly sets Gusto Ricco apart is the charm and friendliness of the staff. They go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and ensure your experience is unforgettable.

The decor is quirky and unique, adding to the café’s personality and making it a fantastic spot for a relaxed catch-up, a productive work session, or just some quality “me” time.

I can’t recommend Gusto Ricco enough for anyone in or visiting Leamington Spa. Whether you’re looking for great coffee, tasty bites, or a laid-back vibe, this...

There are actually 3 floors in this cafe, in addition to a few tables on the ground floor. The views are good, and that special atmosphere of a well lit riom with wooden floors... No people are usually there, so quiet. But have sympathy for the staff, climbing narrow stairs with the trays is not an easy task! The milkshakes are really tasty, and not too sweet, recommended. I tried a wrap, it is good, but nothing special. My companions enjoyed their bruscheta and panini. The staff were very friendly. To reach the toilets you need to climb up the 3d floor, but then it's fun. If there is someone there, don't climb down all the way, there is space to wait just opposite side of the stairs(on the left), the opening to the 3d cafe floor.

Had a very nice Sunday morning breakfast roll and a latte here, we sat outside using the ample table and chairs that were provided and had excellent customer service from start to finish. The bacon roll and the sausage roll were both filled to overflowing and it wasn't because the ingredients used were second rate as we found out that the taste was really very good and as we do like our tomatoe ketchup Heinz was provided. There's lots of variety on there menu and they will provide a takeaway service if you prefer so try them out as they really are one of the places you may overlook in favour of one of the huge chains and that would be a great shame.
