We went there for dinner recently. We understand that this is Warwick and we need to adjust our expectations. My comments are intended to make the restaurant better. Everything is based on facts. We ordered a sesame cucumbers, it was too salty and we need to cancel it. To improve, please use the proper Japanese pickle method. Sugar 2: Salt 1, marinate the cucumbers for 2-3 hours, and then rinse it with water, then add ponzu, soy sauce, sesame oil and sugar, and then serve it. The Tuna/ Salmon don, the rice was soggy, no vinegar taste at all, the rice was hot. The Tuna was chewy. I had to spit all out. Cutting tuna is tricky, remember to cut against the vain of the fish. Always make sure the vinegar rice is cold and then place the raw fish on it, the high temperature of the rice together with the raw fish will generate bacteria. And remember, always serve with wasabi. The Chicken Katsu Curry was fine, because they used a not too bad brand of curry block. Tempura, the coating was too thin and light, probably due to the wrong measurement of the tempura mix.

In general, I wish this restaurant all the best and improve its quality in the...

A rare miss from Nana's - unfortunately when I'd brought friends who'd never been before so cue slightly awkward explaining that it's usually better than this. Date of visit - 11th oct

Went for dinner which was new as usually go for lunch. We ordered tempura (veg and prawn), agedashi tofu, katsu kare bowl and 3 zuke bowls.

The prawn tempura was good but the veg tempura was too chunky and the aubergine wasn't cooked in the middle so a bit bitter.

The agedashi tofu was made with what tasted like supermarket tofu (very firm like Cauldron) which tasted wrong and the sauce was too rich with too much soy - not what I've had there before.

The katsu bowl was good and as usual

The zuke bowls were quite disappointing- the zuke marinade was very salty and not sweet enough - two of us left fish as we couldn't eat it as it was too salty which is a problem I've never had here. The marinade also made the rice difficult to eat as too salty

The service was excellent as always and overall I love Nana's but the food tonight was really sub par - hoping to be pleasantly surprised next...

When you're in love you want the whole world to know! I was visiting friends in Leamington Spa for the week, and I spent a great amount of time exploring. Multiple people recommended Nana's so I went in for lunch. The lunch tasting menu was a gift from the angels!! It was so good I went two more times. Nana and her staff went out go her way to explain the menu, and Nana told me a lot about her cooking techniques. I saw on her website she teaches cooking classes. I'm sure she's a wonderful teacher! I partied really hard on this trip, and the healthy but filling lunch really made me feel much better. And the price was phenomenal! My only regret is not being in town for Ramen night! Seriously, this is the best Japanese food I've ever had and I'm OBSESSED with Japanese cuisine. I recommend Nana's whole heartedly, and I couldn't be any happier with my experience. I miss them so much!
