Excellent pizza and service šŸ‘Œ.

From the moment we were taken to our table all the staff were friendly, attentive and helpful. Freya, our main server, even took the time to show us the types of fruit juice available and remained positive when we asked for some of the sauces to be served separately. Thank you Freya šŸ‘.

What was really pleasing to hear was the understanding of their product, the passion the team shows in it and the willingness to answer my many questions.

The pizzas were as good as when we visited their York restaurant, and were equally as good as those we were very lucky enough to have sampled in Naples. One of the team even informed me the ingredients were sourced from Naples, so as authentic as you can get without paying for the flight.

Looking at the prices they were equally as pleasing. Again matching the pricing in York and being excellent value for the product served and it's size. If you have the choice of Domino's or here, make the journey here and you won't be disappointed.

The only gripe I had was when I tried to book online. The system showed no spaces available until post the time we wanted. When we were in the restaurant, which is very large, there were plenty of spaces. Fortunately when I rang, I got through on my second call, one of the team booked me in, and as you will have read, I am very pleased they did.

5 āļø for us and we will be back again.

UPDATE: Our second visit was equally as enjoyable and tasty. One point to note was I asked if I could swap the burrata on my pizza for some more plain mozzarella. The server said yes no problem and offered parmesan, I said fine. When the bill came I saw a charge of £1.50 or so I didn't recognise. The server said this was for the parmesan, which i never even noticed and thought they had forgotten. I was told they don't do substitutions (even when a few sprinkles of parmesan must cost less than a whole burrata, which I was paying for anyway and which they could serve to another customer). The server took the charge off the bill. So one to remember and thanks to the server and Rudy's for...

We have been loyal patrons of Rudy’s for quite some time, frequently visiting the Birmingham branch well before the Leamington location opened. The Birmingham team consistently delivers excellent service and high-quality food, which is why we’ve returned more than twenty times.

Unfortunately, few of our experiences at the Leamington branch have not met the same standard. Service has been inattentive—drinks take a long time to arrive, staff rarely return to the table to offer additional orders, and tables are often left uncleared. If you need anything—whether it’s the bill or another round of drinks—you typically have to seek out a server yourself, as they seldom check in proactively.

On our most recent visit, the pizza was noticeably undercooked compared to what we’ve come to expect. When I raised this with a member of staff, she simply stated that the pizza was cooked and not raw. While I agree it was technically cooked, it was not to the usual standard we’ve consistently enjoyed. In my opinion, this was likely due to how busy the restaurant was at the time, and the pizza may have been removed from the oven prematurely to keep up with demand.

We understand that delays can occur during peak hours, and we don’t mind waiting longer for food when necessary. However, we do mind when the quality suffers as a result. It appears that either additional staff are needed during busy shifts, or existing staff require further training to uphold Rudy’s usual standards. The overall atmosphere felt unwelcoming, with most staff appearing disengaged and unsmiling, which unfortunately affected the dining experience.

This is particularly disappointing given how much we enjoy Rudy’s and have supported the brand over the years. We sincerely hope the Leamington branch will take steps to improve, as we would love to continue dining there with the same enthusiasm...

Been to Rudy’s in Soho & Birmingham and always loved it. Felt a bit disappointed in Leamington’s new venue. Food perfect as always, staffing and ambiance left much to be desired. Put next to the pot washer station which is a bit grim at the best of times seeing the plates being washed but what made it worse was that the staff member was cleaning the kitchen shelves/metal bars right next to our table so you could smell the cleaning products whilst eating. Then because we are in the middle section of the restaurant where the FOH hang out we just had dancing and silliness around us, that and some lacking work dress code. Anyway the positive was it was a ā€˜free’ introductory pizza so the not so great experience felt a little less annoying because of that. Maybe it’s teething problems of a new venue…

Adding more detail based on an awful response from manager : There’s ā€˜vibing’ and your staff ā€˜enjoying themselves’ and then there’s, can you just look half professional and do your job adequately. I don’t want to hear how hungover and crap your member of staff feels whilst working… We did book...

As someone who holds Italian and Neapolitan pizza close to heart, I was excited to try Rudy’s, hoping for an authentic experience. I ordered the salsiccia e friarielli, expecting the traditional Neapolitan classic. Unfortunately, it missed the mark. Instead of a bianca pizza with generous sausage and friarielli, it came with a tomato base, a sprinkle of chili, and just a few sausage crumb and few bits of friarielli, far from the robust flavors I anticipated. I wish I’d checked the ingredients before hand. That said, the pizza itself wasn’t bad. The dough was well-executed not too thin or gummy and the overall quality was decent, though the chili made it a bit too spicy for my taste. Still, it didn’t feel like a true Neapolitan pizza. I’d love to see Rudy’s offer a more authentic salsiccia e friarielli in the future. I’ll be back to try other options, but I’ll choose more carefully next time.
