Chi — Restaurant in Watford

I never write reviews but I was so appalled by the experience I had at Chi today!

First we were told that the deal advertised on the HUGE poster outside was not running today (buy one get one free bao on Mondays) and they said the deal was starting tomorrow - which is a Tuesday, so it wouldn't run anyway!!

Secondly they took 40 minutes to make our order.. Which was made wrong for both items we ordered!!! People who came in and paid after us were served their food before our order came too!

We had our 12 month old with us who was getting extremely upset and agitated in the meantime.

We asked for a refund for my incorrectly made meal and neither chef nor cashier were in any way apologetic about making us wait 40mins for an incorrect order.. I was so upset by that point that all I wanted was my money back and left the restaurant hungry with no food and an extremely unhappy child.

Would give zero stars if I could.

Terrible!

Would suggest you 100% avoid and choose any other of the many, many better Watford restaurants and cafes on...

The amount of time’s I have had issues getting what I’ve ordered is unreal. Won’t be going back here. I never leave reviews but I had to leave one here.

Today, I ordered Thai chicken satay, got back to work and found out it was breaded chicken, which I can’t eat because of a diet I’m on, and didn’t have enough time to get more food during my lunch break. So now I’m working until 9pm without any lunch. Not the first time they’ve got my order wrong.

I’ve also asked at the till, when I’ve ordered in the past to put it in a takeaway as I work down the road, and every time they have dished it up on a plate. Then they seem annoyed and like I’m being inconvenient when I ask them to put it in a container, which they don’t even have lids for?

The food (when it’s right) is nice, but I just can’t be bothered with the hassle, there are loads of other places on the high street I’d rather go to than here, who I know will get...

Just come home to find out that my children ate at this restaurant today. My daughter has a peanut allergy and she checked the menu at no point being told that there was peanuts in the peri peri chips. Her meal came and her mouth started to tingle, she called the server over who didn't apologise swap her meal or anything Luckily she doesn't need any epi pen as the server wasn't bothered, didn't apologise and just left her to it. Wouldn't recommend this place at all. So angry right now, whilst I appreciate that they are teenagers this is still...
