I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with my recent experience at your Waterfields store in Watford. While I have been a loyal customer of Costa Coffee for some time now, my recent visit on 14 September left me extremely disappointed. I, along with three other customers, noticed that the air conditioning was uncomfortably cold. We kindly requested that the air conditioning either be turned off or adjusted to a more moderate setting. To our relief, a gentleman on your staff acknowledged our concerns and went inside. However, to our surprise, he returned and informed us that he was unable to lower the air conditioning or turn it off due to Costa Coffee standards. The situation took an unpleasant turn when we suspected that the manager on duty was involved in preventing the adjustment of the air conditioning. Her attitude was quite rude, and it seemed that she had interfered with the gentleman's attempt to assist us. Shortly thereafter, same man approached us and genuinely apologized, acknowledging that the temperature was indeed too cold. He assured us that he would turn off the air conditioning, which he promptly did. We appreciated his effort to make us comfortable. Unfortunately, our frustration escalated when a woman from your team later turned the air conditioning back on, disregarding our previous agreement. This left us feeling both frustrated and uncomfortable. I would like to highlight that I have been a regular patron of this particular store for quite some time and have always enjoyed warm and welcoming service. However, recent experiences have left me questioning the quality of service and professionalism exhibited by the staff. I sincerely hope that you will address this issue promptly and ensure that such incidents do not recur in the future. I value my relationship with Costa Coffee and believe that your reputation for excellent service should be upheld. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to hearing from you and hope to see improvements in the service and atmosphere at the Waterfields store in...
Read moreNice atmosphere. Coffee okay but nothing to shout home about. Their croissants are a joke! My wife asked for them to be toasted. They came on a plate with two packaged butters (no jam) and a knife that wasn't very sharp. No matter what I did I couldn't cut open the croissant, in fact it flaked apart and we had to layer the butter on the top of it. I later made a humble suggestion to the girl behind the counter that they could be cut open first, but I could tell that she wasn't at all interested. She suggested that I contact Costa head office as she only worked there, and all that without a smile. How times...
Read moreServed by marta. Very rude and disgusting service. She talked to me like I was a animal. Charged us sit in price even tho it was a take away. Tried to explain to her, but was very rude and disrespect. I been coming here for years and have never been treated like this before. I hope the management do something about this. She kept talking in her native language to her colleague while she Served us. My children felt very intimidated by her behaviour. Will never return here ever again. Head office will be getting a call also. So shameful because I have never been spoken to so rudly...
