I’ve thought long and hard before posting this but I feel it’s important to be honest and talk about the bad and good.
i try and be positive on this account but sometimes being honest is more important and means the account has integrity.
We went in to Witney’s newest Indian on Saturday night and firstly were met with confusion over the size of our booking they thought we were a table of 9, we booked for 5, eventually we got seated. We ordered drinks, 3 cokes and a beer. They ran out of coke so we had to have Coke Zero. Not a great start but there were busy so understandable.
The food then took a long time to come, and tables around us were having issues we heard complaint’s of no food, no cutlery when food did arrive and wrong orders.
I was tempted to walk out then but didn’t, this is a new business and it’s was a very busy Saturday night. When our food did eventually arrive we had the wrong order bought to table , frustratingly staff needed to take meals back to kitchen to be identified, which in itself was worrying. Nann bread was substituted for chapatis an all round frustrating experience after waiting so long.
I understand it was busy and just the 2nd weekend since opening but we were never told there would be a wait or offered a chance to order more drinks.
Atmosphere wasnt great, staff shouting at each other and clearly overwhelmed… it’s an old Frankie and Bennies and much of the decour hasn’t changed so it just doesn’t work as an Indian at the moment.
The food we did get was good, although some hot plates that you normally get in an Indian would be good to keep the food warm.
It’s a shame as this could be a great spot in Witney, but with a large amount of diners (at least 6 tables!) walking out without having food while we were there or refusing to pay this won’t last long unless there are drastic changes.
Hopefully things change and this place sorts itself out, this was only its 2nd weekend so clearly there is a chance for them to iron out these issues.
Out evening finished with a line of diners refusing to pay and us agreeing to pay for the food we actually had.
Maybe with a venue to large they would be better offering a buffet type experience? Or restricting booking as clearly last night staff were overwhelmed.
Hoping they can improve and thrive in Witney

Absolute chaos.
Booked a table for 15 people 2 weeks ago.. turned up this evening only for them to be not aware we were coming. They did manage to pull a table for us however we were right in the way of everyone and when they were trying to serve. Food was being passed over the corner of our table where the children were to other members of staff.
And now the real drama started.. we were quick to order drinks but these were the only drinks we got in the 3 HOURS we were there. We then ordered starters which took almost 2 hours to arrive then followed by the mains another 30 minutes later. They got all the orders wrong with dishes coming out we never ordered and food missing. We were being TOLD what food we were having.
Service was incredibly slow. We didn't even get the 2nd round of drinks some of our party ordered. Around 5 tables behind us got up and left without even receiving any food as they were fed up of waiting.
To conclude the evening we asked for the bill while we were still eating our mains in the hope we might get it at some point this year. The bill was then wrong with dishes on there we never ordered and incorrect quantities of the ones we did have. We were consequently left with £95 remaining to be paid for food and drink we didn't have. Expensive food not reflected well with with overall experience.
The member of staff who had given us the bill was incredibly rude with us while we were trying to explain what was wrong. She even then took a picture of our group and threatened to call the police when we tried to explain that outstanding money wasn't from our order.
To top it off we were then brought over a birthday balloon for the table with "40th" on however the eldest member of our group was a mere 30 what an insult.

Read moreI recently dined at Pakora Delight and was left feeling incredibly disappointed. Despite its promising menu, my experience did not live up to the expectations.
Firstly, the service was dreadful. We pre-booked weeks ago for a table of 15 people, and when we arrived, we were told they didn’t have our booking. They did however accommodate us, but it took 10 minutes for them to find tables and chairs for the amount of people. It then took almost 2 hours for our appetizers to arrive, and another 30 minutes for the main course, and we were only asked once for a round of drinks. This made the overall dining experience frustrating and unenjoyable.
Secondly, the food quality was good, however our table received incorrect dishes and dishes were missing, despite us saying three times. Additionally, I asked for korma sauce to go with my Chicken Shishlek and was charged £7.00 for a small pot of sauce. When I confronted the manger, they didn’t care and said that’s the prices they charge… other Indians charge half the price for a small pot of sauce.
Lastly, we were presented with the final bill which was over £350, and then they said we haven’t paid for drinks, however the bill didn’t have any drinks listed on it; the service was so poor, you’d think they’ve offer the one round of drinks we had on the house to soften the blow, but instead they shouted at us and demanded us to pay more.
While I had high hopes for Pakora Delight, my experience was unfortunately underwhelming. I hope the management takes this feedback to heart and makes the necessary...
