Visited Huffkins with a friend for some afternoon tea - picked the option with a scone sandwiches and tea. It alone was over 16 pound each, which I didn’t mind initially. The sandwiches were really dry, did not get the option to have white bread which I would have preferred. To make it look good it had green leaves on the sides of the plates.. we ran out of tea in the tea pot. I went to ask for another pot and was charged over 7 pound for a pot of tea.. the atmosphere was not the same as it is in Burford as I’ve been there and it’s light and airy and friendly helpful staff, the staff we experienced in Witney were standing around like it was a youth club. The overall look is quite grubby tables and mugs were stained and the glass storage at the front which has the savoury items was full of condensation, did not look pretty. There is also a bad sewage smell which needs looked at asap at one point I felt quite ill. Overall I wouldn’t visit again, it’s completely lost its charm. I apologise if this review is rather harsh but with 7 plus years experience in hospitality I notice these things, some of which are easily to...
Read moreExcellent quality food, not the cheapest place in town but definitely the tastiest. The staff are excellent and provide a second to none service, well done folks we are officially regulars now. Thursday 9th July 2020, just been back after lockdown and obviously things are very different but sadly folks was really disappointed, poor quality bacon in the bap, partners tea was weak as anything and my coffee was rank and had to wait for sugar so then not hot! I'm so easily pleased as a customer and was so excited to see you open for dine in food but the standards today were very poor folks. I overheard someone else complaining too, so just be careful not to let things slip too much because you will lose a valued customer base. Really sorry to have to leave a negative review but you need to know, if I hadn't have been rushing off for an appointment I would told you guys in the cafe. We felt quite sickly afterwards and kept tasting fatty bacon. ⭐⭐ it would only be worth a 2 star...

We had a wonderful afternoon at Huffkins. The scones were warm, fresh, and honestly some of the best we’ve ever had. My son absolutely loved his chocolate milkshake — it looked amazing and tasted even better! The atmosphere was charming, and the service was friendly and relaxed.
If I had to point out one area for improvement, it would be the tea. It was served in bags, with only a limited selection available. For such a beautifully presented experience, offering a wider variety of loose-leaf teas — perhaps some unique blends — would really elevate things to the next level. Properly brewed tea would perfectly complement your amazing scones and make Huffkins stand out as one of the finest tea rooms in the region.
Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will definitely come again. Just that one small upgrade, and you’d be...
