Caffè Nero — Restaurant in West Oxfordshire

Coffee and panini was good as always. Atmosphere was decent but the music was a little bit too loud in my opinion. Guy who served me was reasonably young with glasses and came across very impatient and was very huffy puffy. After speaking to my friend I believe this was the manager. I also witnessed him speaking to his members of team not very nicely either. Apart from this incident I thought the shop, coffee and food was good. Just the service wasn’t there at all and I’d expect better on that end. Especially considering it was the manager who served me, he should be setting an example to members of his team. It made me quite angry as well to hear how he was bossing around his team and speaking to them in not a very nice tone and very passive aggressive. Only sharing this review in the hopes something gets done about this manager and I hope this review comes out positive and changes will be made as this is one of my favourite coffee...

Just returned from Istanbul. 25 million people live in this diverse city but clean, efficient coffee shops, EVERWHERE. Went to Cafe Nero this morning. Coffee was good and served reasonably quickly but dirty and disgusting environment. Nobody seems to take any pride in their work. A number of the staff covered in love bites, with no attempt to cover up. No sense of urgency. Many chatting Ng and drinking between serving customers. Yes, I'm in my 50's and most definitely accepting of all, and certainly not conservative, but I'm decent and have some self respect. All young people need a chance, and it's good that they work but these establishments need rules and expectations. From what I witnessed today, I feel embarrassed to be British. One of me old faves Back in the day used to swear by this place , had a rewards card only went to neros didn’t even dream of going anywhere else . Now I’m back to try it again . And I must say memories were better than reality. Hot coffee yes great tasting not bad breakfast deals didn’t find . Not as great as I thought . As you know on my tour have done many coffee reviews and this is not on the top .
